There is a golden river in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The name of this river is Subarnarekha. Gold flows with water in this river. The people here make a living by extracting gold from this river. When the water of this river recedes, people go in search of gold. They separate the gold by sifting the soil at the bottom of the river. They work all day to collect gold. At the end of the day they were able to extract gold equal to a rice. They run the family with it.
The origin of this Subarnarekha river is from the village of Piska in Ranchi, India. The village of Pisca is thought to have had a gold mine many years ago. That gold mine disappears into this river. As a result, the gold of this mine spread all over the river. Gold flows from one place to another during the river flood season. As a result of the erosion of the river, the gold from the bottom of the river rises to the top. This gold is extracted by the residents there
This river has been named after gold. Subarna means beautiful color and rekha means line. Every river looks like a line. Since gold is beautiful, the naming of this river is successful.

In Canada, I live close to the Fraser River which had a history of gold mining a little more than 150 years ago. Far up river are the places in the Caribou where the water flows seasonally to churn up possible placer gold deposits. The Commercial operators are gone but many opportunities for amateur prospectors to try their luck.
