Hoy les comparto mis experiencias del SEGUNDO día en el YUCATÁN I6, el evento de tecnología más grande de la península de México. La edición de este año ha sido especialmente emocionante, con una variedad de presentaciones y demostraciones que destacan los últimos avances tecnológicos.

Hello again to everyone at Hive and Geekzone community!
Today I share with you my experiences from the SECOND day at YUCATAN I6, the largest technology event on the Mexican peninsula. This year's edition was especially exciting, with a variety of presentations and demonstrations highlighting the latest technological advances.

GAMING
Hoy fue, sin duda, un día increíble para los amantes de los videojuegos. Hubo una amplia variedad de actividades para disfrutar, incluyendo PCs y consolas como Xbox y Nintendo, y consolas retro, disponibles para que cualquier persona pudiera jugar en cualquier momento.
Además, había opciones aún más emocionantes, como simuladores de Fórmula 1 equipados con volante y pedales. Tuve la oportunidad de probar uno de estos simuladores, y aunque nunca he conducido un auto de F1 en la vida real, la experiencia se sintió sorprendentemente realista. Las vibraciones, el movimiento del volante y cada detalle hicieron que la simulación fuera auténtica y emocionante.

GAMING
Today was, without a doubt, an amazing day for video game lovers. There was a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including PCs and consoles such as Xbox and Nintendo, and retro games, available for anyone to play at any time. In addition, there were even more exciting options, such as Formula 1 simulators equipped with steering wheel and pedals.
I had the opportunity to try one of these simulators, and although I've never driven an F1 car in real life, the experience felt surprisingly realistic. The vibrations, the movement of the steering wheel and every detail made the simulation authentic and exciting.

REALIDAD VIRTUAL
Tuve la oportunidad de probar los lentes de realidad virtual Meta Quest 3, mejorados respecto a los Meta Quest 2 que probé el año pasado. En el stand de realidad virtual, me mostraron una réplica exacta de la pirámide de Chichén Itzá, una de las 7 maravillas del mundo. La experiencia fue impresionante; la realidad virtual nunca decepciona, ya que te hace sentir completamente inmerso en ese lugar

VIRTUAL REALITY
I had the opportunity to try the Meta Quest 3 virtual reality glasses, improved from the Meta Quest 2 I tried last year. At the virtual reality booth, I was shown an exact replica of the pyramid of Chichen Itza, one of the 7 wonders of the world. The experience was impressive; virtual reality never disappoints, as it makes you feel completely immersed in the place.

Para los amantes de los drones, había una impresionante exhibición dedicada a estos dispositivos. Aunque no estoy muy familiarizado con el mundo de los drones, su tecnología me parece fascinante, y es asombroso ver cómo están cada vez más presentes en nuestra vida diaria. La exhibición incluía drones de todo tipo, e incluso había un simulador de carreras que permitía experimentar la emoción de pilotear un dron en una competencia.

DRONES
For drone lovers, there was an impressive exhibition dedicated to these devices. Although I am not very familiar with the world of drones, I find their technology fascinating, and it is amazing to see how they are becoming more and more present in our daily lives. The exhibit included drones of all kinds, and there was even a racing simulator that allowed you to experience the thrill of piloting a drone in a competition.

IMPRESIÓN 3D
Uno de los stands más impresionantes de este año fue el de impresión 3D. Exhibían una increíble variedad de obras, desde pequeños personajes y juguetes hasta grandes réplicas de fósiles de dinosaurios. La precisión y el detalle de estas piezas eran realmente impresionantes, mostrando el enorme potencial de la tecnología de impresión 3D.

3D PRINTING
One of the most impressive booths this year was the 3D printing booth. They exhibited an incredible variety of works, from small characters and toys to large replicas of dinosaur fossils. The precision and detail of these pieces were truly impressive, showing the enormous potential of 3D printing technology.
Además de estas impresionantes réplicas, uno de los aspectos más destacados del stand fue la exhibición de unas sillas muy populares e importantes para la cultura yucateca, llamadas "confidentes." Estas sillas, tradicionales por su diseño y simbolismo en la cultura local, fueron recreadas usando impresión 3D. La comparación entre las sillas tradicionales y las impresas en 3D resaltaba no solo la fidelidad de las réplicas, sino también cómo la tecnología puede preservar y reinventar elementos culturales importantes.
Les dejo fotos para que puedan ver cómo lucen las sillas originales y las versiones impresas en 3D, y apreciar cómo la tecnología puede transformar y honrar nuestras tradiciones.
In addition to these impressive replicas, one of the highlights of the booth was the display of some very popular and important chairs for Yucatecan culture, called “confidentes.” These chairs, traditional for their design and symbolism in the local culture, were recreated using 3D printing. The comparison between traditional and 3D printed chairs highlighted not only the fidelity of the replicas, but also how technology can preserve and reinvent important cultural elements.
I leave you with photos so you can see what the original chairs and the 3D printed versions look like, and appreciate how technology can transform and honor our traditions.

ROBOTS CAMINANTES
Llegamos a mi parte favorita del evento: los robots. Durante todo el recorrido, se podían ver perros robóticos caminando, haciendo trucos, saltando, y realizando diversos trucos.
Además de los perros robóticos, había pequeños carritos con ojos que recorrían el área del evento. Estos carritos interactuaban con los asistentes de maneras fascinantes, respondiendo a movimientos y emitiendo sonidos que parecían darles una personalidad propia. Era extraño y al mismo tiempo fascinante ver máquinas que parecían tener vida, como si estuvieran realmente interactuando con nosotros y no simplemente siguiendo un programa preestablecido.
Esta experiencia dejaba una sensación extraña pero emocionante, una mezcla de admiración por los avances tecnológicos y una curiosidad insaciable por lo que el futuro nos depara en el ámbito de la robótica.

WALKINGS BOTS
We came to my favorite part of the event: the robots. Throughout the tour, you could see robotic dogs walking, doing tricks, jumping, and performing various tricks.
In addition to the robotic dogs, there were little carts with eyes running around the event area. These carts interacted with attendees in fascinating ways, responding to movements and emitting sounds that seemed to give them a personality of their own. It was strange and at the same time fascinating to see machines that seemed to have life, as if they were actually interacting with us and not simply following a pre-set program.
This experience left a strange but exciting feeling, a mixture of admiration for technological advances and an insatiable curiosity for what the future holds for us in the field of robotics.

¡Y con esto concluye nuestro recorrido por el YUCATÁN I6! Espero que hayan disfrutado de este vistazo a las maravillas tecnológicas que se presentaron en el evento. Desde la realidad virtual inmersiva y las exhibiciones de drones hasta los impresionantes robots y la fascinante impresión 3D, cada área ofreció algo único y emocionante para todos los asistentes.
