Well what should I say about my Splinterlands 6 Year Anniversary..there are too many good things to say about the game - from financial investment standpoint of view to having fun playing the game its been an amazing journey thus far. I started late i.e. didn't pick on the Alpha packs but then built up my Splinterlands cards collection slow and gradually and when we were seeing all time high for the game there was a point where my overall card collection value had crossed $75K that was a moment and back then I started to think should I book profits and buy a real land but then didn't pursue the idea but had booked some profits by selling #SPS at a decent price to venture into other crypto games. Ok lets get back to business and talk about my Journey with Splinterlands. I wanted to start with my current strategy in Splinterlands where I am targeting 400K+ #SPS which is the governance token of the game. And at the moment when you stake #SPS it is giving an APR of above 13%. So just by staking #SPS one can earn a decent amount of rewards. As seen from the following image; I have close to 353K+ #SPS staked and all the daily rewards are being redirected to the staking pool.
Discovery of Splinterlands: HIVE Fellow Mate #Exyle
This is straight forward, I came to know about the game Splinterlands through a fellow mate here on #HIVE whose account I use to follow and the account name is #exyle. He use to do amazing videos about #Splinterlands and also talk about how this game is going break all the records for web3.0 games in a nutshell a game that gives you the ownership of it by holding the #NFTs and its goverance token #SPS aka #Splintershards. Lets now talk about my profile summary in the game. Picture speaks a thousand words so here is my overall profile summary::
Duration of Participation: Battling since November 2018
As you can see that I have been battling since November 2018 and I'll be honest at the moment I am not battling as my focus has shifted to accumulating #SPS tokens and hence all my cards are rented out which is giving me a passive income in the form of #DEC which is another in game tokens and once I get the #DEC I convert/swap it all for #SPS and then stake SPS to the staking pool - I want to get to the 400K+ #SPS stake mark by the end of this Year, 2024 and who I knows I could further broaden the GOAL for #SPS to half a million tokens staked..more the merries :-)
Accomplishments:: Personal milestones
There are a many things that #Splinterlands has helped me in achieving my personal milestones. I am going to talk about some of them which are::
Leveraging my Crypto Portfolio:: As I said earlier when #sps was at its all time high at that point in time I had sold #sps to venture into different crypto projects. I booked the profits back then and bought other crypto coins like #atom #waxp and even #bnb that phase of #sps pump was pretty amazing you could see the #sps accumulate via staking and then selling it to buy other crypto coins.
Bought #GOLD coin with #sps profit. Yes, that is true I even went further ahead buying a 10 Gram 24K carat gold coin form the profit that I received from selling #sps.
And finally it did create me a passive income here on the #HIVE Blockchain. Currently earning #sps and #dec daily I can either swap it for #HIVE or keep accumulating #sps and staking it to get an APR of above 13% at the moment. I prefer accumulating #sps and will continue to do so until I hit my milestone of having 400K+ #SPS staked.
Strategy Tips for Beginners - My Top 6 Pointers..
I guess this is going to be a big post and before I talk more about my amazing journey with #splinterlands game. Let me end by giving some tips for the beginners who are just getting started with the game. Splinterlands in a nutshell is a strategic trading card game that enables players to engage in battles against real opponents. The cards in the game represents NFT [Non Fungible Tokens] and the players who owns them are the real owners of it. Each battle introduces distinct challenges, requiring players to construct a formidable lineup within the confines of limited resources and battle-imposed constraints to emerge victorious. I have been collecting these #NFTs aka cards since I began playing the game in November 2018 and at the moment continue to engage in the game daily via different games there are endless way how you can interact or build your strategy in the world of Splinterlands. Sounds interesting and are you excited about the game?
I'll keep the tips simple and straight forward in pointers::
- Explore card rentals incase you are not will to buy cards pack for the internal market.
- Start with building your own cards deck and try to max/combine cards if possible
- Focus on building NEUTRAL rarity cards; one of my favorite you can play these cards in any format of the game
- Practice is the KEY to get better in the game
- Build your Splintershards aka SPS which is the governance token of the game. Staking #SPS gives out rewards at an APR of above 13%
- In doubt - Visit the assistance section on the Splinterlands website and thoroughly review all available
Most importantly have FUN..playing the game and be a proud owner of the NFT cards... Bonus point Don't be in a RUSH... you will get there on the leaderboard for sure... cheers
