@pamarias and I went out for an afternoon of delicious seafood and drinks at one of our favorite restaurants ever. Absolutely delicious!
Our favorite part of the meal, showing everybody how easy it is to pay for a meal using @v4vapp and @keychain.
Best of all, I paid for it with the money I earned from making other videos like this!
Pretty amazing, but it's exactly how I did it.
The steps are super simple
Step 1
Open your Hive Keychain app on your mobile phone and open the menu by tapping on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner. Choose the second option that says "Broswer"
this will take you to V4V.app. If you want to pay a LIghtning invoice, you need to have some liquid $HIVE, $HBD or Spendsats.
Step 2
Open the camera to scan the Lightning invoice generated by the shop you are about to pay at
Step 3
Use Hive Keychain to sign the transaction in whatever currency you prefer. It can be it $HIVE or $HBD, just make sure you have liquid assets available before you sign.
Step 4
Confirm the transaction.
It really IS as simple as that.

When i get home to Bulgaria i'm gonna try to onboard local store i buy from. i'm reluctant to spend my Hive / HBD though at the mo!

It's a super easy form of payment. If this were the only thing HIVE did, it would already be awesome, but alas! HIVE is so much more. It's quite incredible that we can show people how we use our #freedomtools and get paid for doing it. Value-for-value in its truest form.

Este restaurante no tiene idea que estamos pagando con $HIVE. El restaurante acepta pagos con Bitocoin sobre Lightning, como seguramente muchos en Venezuela. El QR de Lightning lo pagas con @v4vapp y funciona exactamente igual.

The food looks awesome. The graphic tutorial you included is also helpful. I wonder if you are familiar with how businesses can convert the crypto they earn to Fiat? I feel like that is a big hurdle that prevents more businesses from offering crypto payments.
They're using an interface developed by a local company that lets them decide if they'd like to keep the Bitcoin or would like a percentage of what they receive converted into local currency and deposited into their bank account.
They've figured out a way to overcome this hurdle.
Oh that makes sense. I guess that is something that we need for local businesses to try and adopt it. I would think the local provider would need a lot of liquid funds to handle this.
