Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The teachings of Jesus Christ are the commandments of God which are given unto us to follow. We are taught these commandments through the doctrines. These doctrines were taught by Jesus Christ when He was on earth. He taught them to his disciples. He commanded that His disciples should teach them to those who will believe in Him.

Rejecting False Doctrines

2 Peter 2:1 (KJV) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
False doctrines are taught by false teachers. They teach for doctrines the traditions of men. They lead men away from God. They are deceivers. Their motives are not for the benefits of God, rather they pursue selfish interest. We are instructed to desist from listening to such teachers. We should be careful about the kind of teachings we listen to.

Only Jesus Christ We Should Listen To

Matthew 17:5 (KJV) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
The Father announced from heaven that Jesus Christ is His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. He commanded us to listen to Him. We are to listen only to Jesus Christ. He alone is our Teacher. There are several teachers teaching people false doctrines. We are to watch out for them and run away from them.
The teachings of Jesus Christ are written in the Bible. We must read the Bible daily and learn from it so that we can understand the commandments of God.
