I am saying hello from Saigon, Vietnam, after a long trip from Bangkok through Cambodia (a train, two buses, non-stop) that cost me almost as much as a flight but... okay, I did it, I arrived. And I am going to share pix of cats from my last outdoor Bangkok walk on May 10, 2024, before I start a Vietnamese chapter of my life journey...
That's a simple but still amazing thing: if you regularly have photo walks focused on street cats, you start meeting the same felines soon, like, "the Brave Nose lives somewhere here, let's take a look if she is near, and Mr. Severed Ear lives here, oh, I see him!.."
That one hasn't earned a nickname yet but I had seen her once on the roof near that door. I loved the textured wooden floor and background and started taking pictures. Meanwhile, the cat tried to keep the same relaxed pose like if she felt the same as she did before I appeared. She wanted to hide from me she was worrying. And that's a habit of cats.
That's where the things happening: Ban Khrua, a canal-side neighborhood
I couldn't understand it fully until, several days later, I noticed a person behaving in a weird way and I suddenly realized that that guy had a mental condition; at that moment, the mental person looked at me and I immediately tried to hide my interest to him and started faking being relaxed and watching posters with ads. 😄
While I was shooting this cat, the door opened and a Thai retired man appeared on the threshold. I said: "Meoo, suay! [Cat, beautiful!]" The man smiled and returned to the house to not interrupt my photo session... Thailand! 🙂
And that's just a tiny tabby who never meant to hide her fear. She tried to run away after I took a couple of images and I, as soon as noticed her horror, said sorry and left her alone.
Another acquaintance of mine whom I met a month ago or so at the same place:
She didn't recognize me (probably) but wasn't afraid either. +38 is too hot for anything except chilling out.

While she was passing by me, she shortly meowed, saying this way: "give me the way, can't you see I am walking on the rail and you are on my way." 😀

She was probably absorbed by negativity ("Why, why, why?? Am I pusnished for my love to cars? Am I cursed??"), meanwhile, her companion (whom I knew already) was enjoying the meal I offered.
