Hive Community,
I am very new to HIVE, I have been on Steemit here and there for the last few years, but then I noticed everything moved over to HIVE. What are you all doing about this? Am I completely out of the loop here? What Happened why do I have an account on both HIVE and STEEMIT? I am such a NOOB please don't tear me down over this post because I am sure I am not the only one with these questions, or maybe I am. Is this a PsyOp?

I'm more of a lurker, but I've been following along with the latest news.
Justin Sun of Tron pretty much purchased Steemit. Then somehow got a bunch of exchanges to use their witness power to force some sort of change through. This made a lot of people angry.
Since there there have been various complains of censorship and money stealing and such. The community decided to hard fork (copy) the STEEM chain into a new chain called HIVE. That is why you now have an account on HIVE, up to a certain date is is a direct copy of STEEM.
At this point HIVE seems to be more active. I've switched over pretty much completely because the games have moved here as well. Splinterlands now runs on HIVE, Holybread is going to move to HIVE, Exode is starting on HIVE
Its up to you what you want to do!
