Another chainsaw mill (Alaskan Mill)

I bought another saw with 6 horsepower what makes it a big boy toy. It can handle a 90 centimeter bar with relative ease. Enabling bigger natural edge furniture!

The jig cost basically nothing i paid 4$ for the bolts and the ikea plate was for free. You do need a cobalt drill of 10mm of 5$.

That makes the total sum 9$, this post maybe makes me already breakeven lol :D

Enjoy the watch:

Did you create a video about a firewood kiln to dry firewood or iqn't that really your field of interest?
As I'm looking for some information to build my own :)

Why? Firewood will dry automatically in a year orso. You can look at solar kiln

I know, problem is that I have a lot of trees / wood but don't have enough space to let it dry manually. Besides that, it would be nice to get the cash faster.

I am still in the research phase though, so not sure if I'll make a kiln or not.

Thanks for your response!

Wow! Did not know about the cobalt need. Don't you think it may be potentially harmful for your health (breathing it into fine powder)?

sharpening cobalt drillbits is a bit toxic, but using them to drill stuff not as its mostly a cutting motions not grinding. So no dust

Understood. I expected that drillbits could be a consequence of the drag force between the rotating parts and the "to-be-cut" parts. Indeed cobalt on metal may create far more fine powders.
Thanks for your explanation!

Great idea and even better execution! I myself am not a big woodworking guy and probably would manage to cut myself with a chainsaw like this :). But that is the reason why I have such high respect to guys like you. Keep up the great work.

Now that's a real man right there 🫡🫡🫡 good luck with the work

That's really a cheap one and looks handy when you are using it. Also you played well with the big boy toy. Lol

Holy cow, what a beast of a chainsaw.

I don't know much about chainsaws myself, but my dad and grandad are huge fan of woodworking and also chainsaws.
When I get home from my school session I will show them this video (and translate a bit, since they don't understand english perfectly).

My dad bought a brand new chainsaw which is very powerful aswell, but not nearly as powerful and big as the one you got xD, but he is very proud of it.

This is quite big and my back won't love me .luckily I don't use it that often only for big logs.

That's a very long saw there. I was thinking being shorter makes it more stronger at least for tough wood. After those clean, powerful cuts, I changed my mind

Short is more powerfull, but more importantly lighter, faster ,much cheaper. I wouldn't wanna walk with my saw in the forest and if only cut the three down.

A smaller much lighter saw can do the rest.

What are these selfvotes on these comments??

Btw, I was just looking at the rest of your voting and it seems pretty decent all up, so these stand out as weird and perhaps unnecessary.

I thought so too, the shorter the better. The blades are also rugged from the video. Makes me wonder how heavy the machine would be..

Me going to subscribe to your YouTube channel to learn how to be a real man😂😂

Thank you small steps and you become one lol

Wow thanks so much.... Is there a special workout routine to stay fit and work this hard?

Start building or renovating something, if your in the city get a cast iron kettlebell.

The Russians know the best exercises with it cheap efective

Wow then I'll be researching a lot🥰🥰🥰

LEO Power Up Day - May 15, 2024

Man that toy looks amazing but you should be very careful. My uncle had an accident and lost one of his toes. It was terrible.
