Es könnte leicht der Eindruck entstehen, als seist du kürzlich vor meiner Haustür unterwegs gewesen zu sein. Denn all die kleinen Rumtreiber, die du fotografiert hast, leben bei mir als Nachbarn oder gar Untermieter.
Und wie das mit solchen Zeitgenossen nun mal ist, kommt man mit dem einen mal besser und mit dem anderen weniger gut aus. Was Bienen, Wespen, Hornissen und Hummeln betrifft, steht die Sache außer Zweifel. Nicht umsonst biete ich den emsigen Arbeitern und ihren Kolleginnen allerlei Unterschlupfmöglichkeiten. Spannungen entstehen lediglich, wenn ich zum ungeeigneten Zeitpunkt mit der Sense vor ihrer Behausung auftauche. Dann ist bei mir der rasche Rückzug angesagt.
Der Grashüpfer ist der klassische Untermieter. Egal, ob auf der Terrasse, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer oder auf der Tastatur – bei ihm gilt das Motto: wo du dich wohlfühlst, kann es mir nur gut gehen.
Der Marienkäfer schließt sich zwar dem gerne an, aber nur im Winter, wenn es in der Bude mollig warm ist. Lieblingsplatz? Der eingeschaltete Monitor.
Als ein eher schwieriges Verhältnis würde ich das Miteinander zwischen Streifenwanzen und mir bezeichnen. Mir scheint es, als bestünde deren Dasein lediglich aus zwei unersättlichen Verlangen: in die Gemüseblätter riesige Löscher zu fressen oder sich zu paaren. Alles andere ist reine Zeitverschwendung.
Fascinating insects, indeed. This is such a rich blog. The pictures of course are amazing, but the information is also fascinating. I was taken by your description of the seven-spot ladybird, its anti-microbial defenses. I found a great site (besides the one you reference) that describes in particular the effectiveness of harmonine in thwarting the reproduction of Schistosoma mansoni.

Not only the "Hover flies" love the sweet scent of the "king's lily", I also love this white flower very much..., as you know! Thanks so much for making the video of these "king's lily". Your little princess' voice is so sweet. ;))
A collection of beautiful pictures, various insects that I have never seen before look so interesting, the last picture is a very unique insect in my opinion
I myself am very fond of seeing such beautiful insects, the way you have shared all these pictures with us looks very beautiful. I have also seen the video of the way we see a bug or wind on a beautiful flower and both look more beautiful.
