Hola querida comunidad de #hive,
Primeramente desearles un buen inicio de semana a todos, las mejores vibras y éxitos en sus publicaciones. Hoy me atreví nuevamente a contarles un poco de la vida diaria personal, explorando más a fondo en esta comunidad de #hivemotors, ya que últimamente estamos muy activos en diversas actividades y eventos, y es vital tener operativo un vehículo.
El sábado pasado nos dispusimos a visitar un café muy conocido en Valencia, Venezuela. En esa ocasión, estábamos en mi vehículo junto a una colega YouTuber y por Hive mi amiga y colega @crisch23. Al salir del lugar, tuve un pequeño problema al intentar arrancar el carro. Como estaba en una pendiente, aproveché para encenderlo en marcha atrás. Siendo un carro manual de 5 velocidades, es posible hacerlo, pero al hacer esa maniobra rápida para encenderlo, parece que rompí una parte fundamental del mecanismo de la caja de cambios, dejándolo sin marcha atrás y la tercera velocidad.
Al percatarme de esto, me asusté mucho porque pensé que podría estar afectando directamente la caja de velocidades. Dado que conseguir una caja para un Renault Clio del año 2008 resulta costoso aquí en Venezuela, me tocó esperar hasta el lunes para poder llevarlo al mecánico y que hiciera las revisiones correspondientes. Luego de la revisión previa del mismo sábado, ya estaba preparado para desarmarlo y ver el daño hecho.
El lunes por la mañana, temprano, fui en búsqueda del kit de varillaje para este modelo, encontrándolo rápidamente en el centro comercial cercano al Big Low Center de Valencia.
El proceso de cambio de esta pieza lleva algo de trabajo. Cabe destacar que para arreglar o cambiar algún componente de este tipo de vehículos resulta algo tedioso, ya que hay poco espacio para realizar estas reparaciones. Para poder realizar este cambio, se bajó directamente la pechera del motor, una placa de metal que protege al motor, y así pudimos acceder a la parte del varillaje.
Luego de eso, al desarmar, la pieza dañada por la maniobra se rompió en pedazos. El mecánico sin problemas desarmó todo este sistema y logró cambiarlo sin dificultades.

El siguiente paso fue la calibración de las velocidades. Admito que les costó un poco, ya que una de las bases que sostiene la palanca a la caja estaba doblada, así que tuvieron que enderezarla y volver a colocarla en su sitio. Después de eso, calibramos con éxito todas las velocidades y finalmente recuperamos la marcha atrás.

Con este escrito quiero decirles que hay que tener cuidado al utilizar la caja manual de nuestros vehículos y mantener siempre al día sus accesorios o repuestos. First of all, I wish you all a good start of the week, the best vibes and success in your publications. Today I dared again to tell you a little bit of personal daily life, exploring further in this community of #hivemotors, since lately we are very active in various activities and events, and it is vital to have a vehicle operational.
Last Saturday we set out to visit a well known café in Valencia, Venezuela. On that occasion, we were in my vehicle with a fellow YouTuber and by Hive my friend and colleague @crisch23. When leaving the place, I had a little problem trying to start the car. As it was on a slope, I took the opportunity to start it in reverse. Being a 5 speed manual car, it is possible to do it, but when doing that quick maneuver to start it, it seems that I broke a fundamental part of the gearbox mechanism, leaving it without reverse and third gear.
Upon realizing this, I got really scared because I thought I might be directly affecting the gearbox. Since getting a gearbox for a 2008 Renault Clio is expensive here in Venezuela, I had to wait until Monday to take it to the mechanic and have it checked. After the previous revision on Saturday, I was ready to disassemble it and see the damage done.
Early Monday morning, I went in search of the linkage kit for this model, finding it quickly in the mall near the Big Low Center in Valencia.
The process of changing this part takes some work. It is worth noting that to fix or change any component of this type of vehicle is somewhat tedious, as there is little space to perform these repairs. In order to make this change, we directly lowered the engine chest, a metal plate that protects the engine, and thus we could access the linkage part.
After that, when disassembling, the part damaged by the maneuver broke into pieces. The mechanic smoothly disassembled this entire system and managed to replace it without difficulty.

The next step was to calibrate the gears. I admit it took them a bit, as one of the bases that holds the lever to the box was bent, so they had to straighten it out and put it back in place. After that, we successfully calibrated all the gears and finally got the reverse gear back.

With this writing, I want to tell you that we have to be careful when using the manual gearbox of our vehicles and always keep your accessories or spare parts up to date.
