When I was scrolling my feed, I saw an interesting contest by Ladies of Hive for this month. It got me excited as finally, I could somehow participate in their prompts. I had planned to join some contests initiated by them but because of time constraints I cannot do so here we are since it is the weekend and I have some spare I could create a post relating to the question
What is your favorite memory of your mom? (or someone that acted as that role in your life!)
To support her family, who lived in the province along with her twin sister, she went to Laguna at the young age of sixteen and started looking for work. She learned the art of sawing and worked with multiple employers who were into the shoe business until he met a widower. She fell in love and they built and raised a family of eight.
There are a lot of memories that I can share with my mom from childhood until now that I have my family. But one of the most favorite memories with her is during my dance with her on my wedding day.

She cannot hold off her tears of being joyful as finally, she can rest her mind knowing that I will not be alone anymore.
Throughout my childhood, I always isolated myself from the crowd. Though I had some friends still my life revolved around home and school and when I became an adult school was replaced by work. She always has worries about what will happen to us if they are gone. Most of the time, we rely on her in everything, and though she is sad that she needs to let go of me; she is also happy that she could raise me well as I am right now.
As we danced, I just kept on saying thank you to her for being the best mother that I could have. She reminded me to become a good husband and never do the things that can break my wife's heart. Do not follow in the footsteps of my late dad and always work with our indifference. Learn to accept that I may be wrong and when I wronged my wife, repent and ask forgiveness and lastly communicate well because that is something that we lack in the family.
I just pray that God will stretch her lifespan so that she can see Dyn-dyn grows. My mom and I rarely see each other since we live in a far-off place already but each time that we have a long weekend off at work and we have finances to spare April and I agreed to visit her from time to time.
Awwww, if I am here I should have been teary-eyed. What a great moment watching the groom with his mom. You are amazing, bro. I so love this memory. Indeed so priceless!

She is indeed an amazing woman, raising 7 kids is no easy feat.
This one isn't easy hahah I am a one of a nutcase back then but then I realized after that being a parent is hard ( now that I am one) since you will only think about what is best for your kid.

I kept on saying awwn while reading. It's was quite emotional, feeling the love for your mom through writing, she must be a good mother to get such heart warming compliment❤
The funny part is we never had such conversations back then. Our family set-up was you do you and we just let everything fall into place. We just learned how to appreciate and share what we are feeling lately.

Si mama Naman . Parang ayaw akong bitawan.. nangag asawa na ibang anak nya, pro kapag kap pag uusapan, quiet lang yan sya.. Yung tipong, ayaw pa ko mag asawa kahit matanda na ako, lol
Hindi pero feeling only child minsan hahah.
Baka di pa sya ready to let you go talaga. Nako pag ganyan dahan-dahanin mo muna, pakilala mo muna kung may jowa ka atbp and pag nakita nya na masaya ka naman for sure mapapanatag yan.
Yun lang prob. Wala jowa haha .
Wow, such a wonderful mother. I know she will surely miss your presence at home but no choice than to let you go. Mothers are priceless beings!
She sure did miss me but as I started our my own we need to leave and cleave so that we can grow more and become wiser in our decisions.

Ang ganda ng mama mo kuya Tepee. Nakakaamazed talaga mga nanay dati no? Sa murang edad nag wowork na sila. Ngayon, madalang nalang mga babae na may backstory na ganito sa future.
Masaya na malungkot siguro nafefeel ng mga magulang kapag nakakasal mga anak nila. Masaya kasi sa wakas naman ay nabawasan na ang pasaway sa bahay tsarot at malungkot kasi namimiss nila mga kabataan nyo.
Hayyy...wala ako mashare sakin kasi di ko naman nakasama palagi Mama ko.
