Today I want to share with you all a new Fan-Art illustration of Zingu that I've been working on today.
As some of you already know I always like to experiment a bit with what I do, so this time I've experimented a bit more with the colour and design of the character taking it to the new style I've been working on lately. Without a doubt I had a great time making this illustration, here I want to tell you a little bit more about the creative process.

El día de hoy quiero compartir con todos ustedes una nueva ilustración Fan-Art de Zingu en la que he estado trabajando el día de hoy.
Como algunos ya saben siempre me gusta experimentar un poco con lo que hago, por lo que esta vez he experimentado un poco mas con el color y diseño del personaje llevándolo al nuevo estilo en el que he estado trabajando últimamente. Sin duda la pase muy bien realizando esta ilustración, a continuación quiero contarles un poco mas sobre el proceso creativo.

Creative Process | Proceso Creativo💡
The first thing was to make a small sketch, in this I was giving the shape to the character as well as placing him in the space. In this step I used a thick brush, which is very comfortable for me when sketching because I think more in general shapes than in details. Once I liked the sketch I proceeded to apply a lineart, in this step I used a brush with a quite thin stroke and with some pencil-like texture. To finish I added a thicker outline on the character to make it stand out a bit more.
The next thing I did was to work on the colour, in this step I used the palette of my reference but lowering a bit the saturation of the colours. Then in a new layer I made some flat shadows which I blurred little by little to make them look a little softer.
To finish with the character I applied some illuminations with a soft and hard brush, applying whiter tones in the most illuminated areas but without exaggerating. Finally I began to work on the background, in this I applied several gradients of blue tones, in addition to making a kind of "frame" to give the character the full prominence being in the centre of the image.
Lo primero fue realizar un pequeño boceto, en este fui dándole la forma al personaje además de ubicarlo en el espacio. En este paso utilice un pincel grueso, el cual me es muy cómodo a la hora de bocetear ya que pienso mas en formas generales antes que en los detalles. Una vez el boceto me gusto procedí a aplicar un lineart, en este paso utilice un pincel con un trazo bastante delgado y con algo de textura tipo lápiz. Para finalizar agregue un contorno mas grueso en el personaje para hacerlo destacar un poco mas.
Lo siguiente que hice fue pasar a trabajar en el color, en este paso utilice la paleta de mi referencia pero bajándole un poco la saturación de los colores. Luego en una nueva capa realice unas sombras planas las cuales fui difuminando poco a poco para que se vieran un poco mas suaves.
Ya para terminar con el personaje aplique unas iluminaciones con un pincel suave y también duro, aplicando tonos mas blancos en las zonas mas iluminadas pero sin exagerar. Por último comencé a trabajar en el fondo, en este aplique varios degradados de tonos azules, además de hacer una especie de "marco" para darle totalmente el protagonismo al personaje estando en el centro de la imagen.
To finish with the illustration I added some final details like a backlight on the character, I also finished applying and adding some elements to the background to make it a bit more interesting.
