A cot for 0.60 usd to sleep- Monomad challenge

"Don’t walk in front of me… I may not follow
Don’t walk behind me… I may not lead
Walk beside me… just be my friend"
— Albert Camus

Hi folks. I hope you all are fine. I am just trying to stay consistent here in this community. This community has shown a lot of support to me and to my photography. This is my entry to the #monomad challenge. I hope you will like the photos.

I was in Karachi for a few days. I discovered a lot of new things here. I should say explore. I was living in a hotel and I found out that a few people were sleeping on cots. Cots are very common here in Pakistan for sleeping. A friend of mine told me that these cots are provided to needy people for just 50 rupees a night which makes 0.60 USD.

I did not know what to feel at that time. I was sleeping in a comfortable AC room while people of just about my age were sleeping on these. It made me realize that life is not the same for everyone. We all have our own struggles that challenge us at different levels.

Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan. We say that it is an entire country in its own. It represents different cultures and provides opportunities to everyone. It is indeed a cosmopolitan.

I captured their photos from my room. I wanted to share this part of the world with this concept with my buddies from the monomad challenge.

Thank you for your time and support. It means a lot to me. Keep showing love. I hope you liked the pictures. Do share your thoughts and feelings in the comments section below so that we can learn and grow together. Take care and have a blissful day ahead. Do not forget to follow my account.

Ps: the pictures are taken by me with my Google Pixel 5 and edited using the Adobe Literoom App.
