Everything went almost perfect... | Day at Casita Blanca, Mérida, Venezuela.

The other day we went to Casita Blanca, a park ranger station in the Sierra Nevada National Park in Mérida, Venezuela.

Although I love mornings, I have never been a morning person. However, when it comes to getting up early to go to the mountains, although it is hard for me, I get up very early. There is a saying in my country to describe these situations:
Sarna, con gusto, no pica (if you like scratching, then you don't mind the lice).

Christmas markets in Vienna (and many others)

My younger son and I decided to go to the Christmas market in Vienna. Vienna is practically "just around the corner" - in the morning we get on a fast train and two hours later we get off at the main station of the Austrian capital.

Immediately upon arrival, we were refreshed at a Burger King near Stephansplatz. I was surprised that it was completely empty. Even though it was before noon and the location is in the most central part of the city. Inside I was impressed by the stucco ceiling and the vaulted columns - Vienna is Vienna.

A Winter Wonderland Among The Ruins...

We are having a cold spell here in the UK, but it is winter so it's as expected, we've had the first snow of winter and lovely fresh frosty mornings.
I managed to get out on my day off and thought I'd have a trip to Roche Abbey, one of my favourite local places and usually one I only go to in the summer, as you can't go into the grounds in winter months.

The drive down to the abbey is a very narrow single track road with the odd passing point, I was a little worried that it might be too slippery as one part of the road turns into a steep hill, thankfully the frost had cleared from that part down to the abbey.

A historical Place with scenic beauty- Lonavala!!

Recently I went Lonavala(Maharashtra). Its a hill station surrounded by green lanscapes. It is also known as a City of Caves. Actually the best time to visit Lonavala /Pune is during monsoon season , June to September. We can see the beauty of green landscapes, the view or scenic valleys and viewpoints ,will be more clearer and the waterfalls with lots of waters. But in my family marriage was there in Mumbai, so I got this time to visit mumbai.
Lonavala is approximately 2 hours from mumbai via car. The route is beautiful via train or car. One can enjoy the scenic route.

Soulful Echoes of Intuition

The dreams had become more vivid over the past few months. Flashes of places Abby had never seen, people she had never met. Yet they felt familiar, like memories long forgotten that were now resurfacing.

She stood on a cobblestone street, the hems of her long skirts dusting the stones. A horse-drawn carriage clattered by as she clutched her shawl tighter against the evening chill. The gas lamps bathed the shop fronts in a warm, flickering glow. She glimpsed her reflection in a window - the face looking back was hers, yet not hers.
