Today I will tell about a hike trip that we did with friends to peak Atovo padalo.
Our starting point was Buzludja Hut. We left the forest enjoying the unique trees, mosses and forest sounds.
We went in the direction of the wind turbines and in the distance we could see the peak.
We walked both through forest paths and on asphalt road.
We passed a wind farm.
There was an ascent to the top accompanied by a very strong wind.
The peak is 1494 m high and the view from it is very beautiful.
The name of the peak comes from the words "at" (horse) and "padalo" (a place to sleep and change horses).
Mount Atovo Padalo is artificially leveled. On it there was a signal-observation tower with a small fortress, which guarded and monitored the roads in the area. The facility does not exist nowadays.

From up high we saw a large abandoned hut and decided to get closer and see it up close.
The hut was indeed abandoned, but there was a large landing and it was not windy, so we took a short break here.
The large three-story building is called "Mladost" and it was built in the 80s.
We started back, but by a different route. There were mushrooms and many beautiful flowers along the way.
We passed more huts, hotels and ski slopes.
Passing through meadows with hundreds of dandelions, we reached our final point - Buzludzha hut.
