The splinterlands season just ended and it was a very good season because i ended the season at the Champions League 3 even though last season was better in terms of ranking. I won more matches in just concluded season and what that means is more glints and if you have been following my post you will know how important glints are for me and I need a lot of them to make my strategy work.
In the quest of looking for more glint, I placed an order to lease sps but nobody was ready to lease their sps to me maybe because my price was low and the reason I wanted sps was that I would get more Glints per win with more sps staked. This was why my glint reward for the just concluded season is not that high compared to when I had sps delegated to me. I got a whopping 117 Glints and with what I have been seeing since this is still a lot.
Spending your Glints is becoming harder.
Splinterlands team is improving the reward shop every season and with so many options it is becoming difficult to spend your reward and that is why you must have a plan and follow it. My plan is simple and all I want is to upgrade my deck so that I compete at the highest level. Last season I spent my Glints on the legendary draw and this season is no different, my plan is to upgrade the Soulbound reward but I deviated a little because the shop just added a reward chest and I tried it out.
I was experimenting with the chest reward, and I decided to choose the highest tier which is the ultimate reward chest, The highest I could buy was 10 and I purchased 10 ultimate chests from the shop, but the experience was bad because the reward did not worth it, it reminds me of why everybody wants the game to change the rewards system. Moving from here, I spent my remaining reward on legendary draws, which was very cool because it is always good to see so many legendary cards at the same time.
Chest reward seems like a gamble now for a jackpot
so many people can argue The new reward system is not as good as the previous one, but that is for those who are milking the system. Now the new reward system is for everybody to benefit from and the choice to choose what you want makes it sweeter, depends on your strategy now you have all available options that will suit your needs.
The new chest rewards seem like a gamble to me because nothing is guaranteed. You can get anything and the system we have to choose for you which I believe is a good idea when you already have a max deck but without that, I believe it’s still better to spend your glints on cards because even when the cards are listed in the market, it is guaranteed that you can sell them for profit.

Congratulations. The legendary draw does sound appealing and I don't really like having the chests. I kind of preferred the previous random draws because I want cards and not the other stuff involved with it (even if its reliant on luck).
I agree with you but this system helps me to focus on the things I need the most.
Some players did gamble with the major draws and eventually won a beta pack, but it's a big gamble and some people lost their Glints big time
I lost 25k Glints too, experience is the best teacher
Which legendary card did you buy that you didn't want?
I don’t have any legendary card that is maxed out already. That is why I focus on growing my legendary cards. They are so weak.
It's also very expensive to buy them as it's possible to keep getting the old Legendaries you already have.
