We had a nice break away last weekend. It was only for the few nights but good to get a change of scenery. Even just the couple of days off work changes the feel of the week.
We had a nice hotel booked with a separate room for the kids so while we were on holidays it wasn't going to be full of nice food and late nights.
Instead we had time in the leisure center and early dinners in the hotel restaurant. Still beats cooking.
The biggest part of the trip was Dublin zoo on the Friday morning. Part of the hotel deal was a free family ticket to the zoo which was only 30 minutes away from us.
A perfect activity for our kids at the age they are right now and one that we enjoy ourselves.
They have a good selection of animals from across the world and you get right up beside most of them. Houses for reptiles and dinosaurs as well as birds of all shapes and sizes. Lots for the kids to see and do.
Monkeys are my favorite but we were right up beside a leopard as well which was having dinner just inches form our faces which was something to watch.
We did lots more family activities the next few days with more leisure center, pet farms, food and visiting my sisters family who also live up that side of the country which made it a very good holiday across the board.
Now we just need one without the kids.

Does look like a lot of fun, my wife and I constantly comment how there is not a proper Zoo in Panama with good tropical weather for so many animals, there is a Zoo but only a few tigers, fish and birds, nothing like Gorillas, Rhino, Giraffes, bigger mammals, besides is a bit small, look like you had a lot of fun, for me it always a great time spending with the kids and family 🤟
It's a great family day.
