Last weekend I got a chance to visit Altharaa Retreat which is a privately owned farmhouse in Madam, Sharjah.
We were having an work event at this place. Its a beautiful farmhouse with full of greeneries and a good place for organizing the small parties and gettogether. Ita a calm and peaceful place located about 80 KM away from Dubai city, very near to desert area in Sharjah. It took us around one and half hours to reach Altharaa Retreat from Dubai.
We started from Dubai at 4 PM and reached there at 5.30 PM. When we reached there, it was already evening and started getting darker due to shorter daylight and early sunset in winter. After reaching we first went to see birds and small animals because my little daughter is an animal lover and love to see and play with animals. She enjoyed seeing the beautiful birds walking around.
On the other side my son was busy at the playing area, there were many activities for kids like swing, slide, trampoline etc.
Apart from the farm and the playing area for kids, there were 2 swimming pools also there which were closed that time because it was already evening. Swimming pool can be accessed with prior information and approval.
There was a big dining place and a hall was also there where the group dinners and indoor activity can be arranged during summer. This time because it was winter we had our get together in the big open ground, surrounded by the greeneries with birds flying and chirping.
Its a nice place to spend the weekends with friends and family. Silent and peaceful place, far from city's noise and close to nature...
