Mother's Day weekend at the beach where the sun and the sea hug me next to my husband, is my TBT for this day.
It is impressive the emotional and commercial movement that this date dragged this weekend (Sunday, May 12) in my country.
Life is a journey, it's better to enjoy the scenery.
I love that whirlwind that allows the conclusion of asking God to free me from the gentle waters, that I take care of the stormy ones.
So we went to the beach, my children accompanied me by video call, and we shared, they are already adults and all out of the country a few years ago. My husband and I almost always go on a getaway.
It was a delightful three days that made me think about why mothers make mistakes in giving so much to their children, so much, so much, so much... that we forget to tell them where we come from, our genuine roots, overlooking important details about issues of values, manners, mercy... what our grandmothers defined as "personal nature".
We always want our children to be in the highest place where they can be. It's every mother's dream. And that place, the highest, is at the feet of God.
In the photos, I am in calm waters, where I have been living my whole life.
I confess that in this experience, I noticed that hidden emotions in my unconscious decided to be removed, I miss hugging my children, allowing real conclusions that involve my present, guaranteeing my peace by publishing a cover photo that surely statistics will tell me that 80% of the appreciations will be to criticize.
And thank God, I don't care.
Because I never cared. Because thank God I have been chosen for my jobs as far as I know. And not because of how I look.
It's not wanting to look the same as when we were young. It's not "fixing the bodywork“ to maintain us." It is learning to live with every change, and as difficult as it is, to accept it without comparison because the big problem of almost all of us women is that we are very hard on ourselves: there is always someone prettier, with better luck or a husband, or a better body or more money, but how difficult is sincere self-flattery.
All this information about healthy longevity is coming to give me this weekend, celebrating Mother's Day, the opportunity to improve my own emotionality, regarding self-care, self-esteem and valuation.
The path is undoubtedly curvy, because the first battle is against that hidden and very little empathy of oneself with the fact of feeling good. Because looking good has prevailed.
Even though I have not had any treatment there, I understand that it is an excellent starting point.
Today I invite all the mothers of the hive, to meditate on that empathy towards us, in an eagerness that you unfold and see that wonderful person that you are and that you make the decision to take care of yourself, protect yourself and value yourself: the summary that this life, loves you smiling.
How nice it is to see the past and realize that it has served to shape the future (which is undoubtedly a mystery).
Today I celebrate myself as a mother who works tirelessly, as well as this Caribbean Sea, which embraces me by the north of my country and gives me its example of changes and eternal movement.
It was a weekend experience at the beach, friends, hive. With new swimsuit and always my yellow hat, the most faithful sun-holder there is ❤️
