The unpleasant fact around the world and in some parts of Africa is that many individuals face significant barriers to receiving healthcare. Among these obstacles, money stands out as a major obstacle, frequently leading to terrible outcomes. Too many people die because they can't afford the healthcare that they need. Basic medications and treatments have become privileges for far too many people, exposing them to illnesses and problems that could have been avoided.
The unfortunate fact is that gaps in healthcare significantly impact the most vulnerable groups in society. Older people, who ought to be celebrating their old age in comfort and security, are battling to receive even the most basic medical treatments.
Children, who are innocent and potential, suffer unnecessarily as well, their physical well-being put at risk by insufficient care and funding.
Despite such obstacles, there remains an aspect of positive outlook. Recently, I had the opportunity to see an incredible project sponsored by Hive, a blockchain-based platform dedicated to making a good difference. Hive collaborated with local communities to set up a free health screening event, delivering critical medical services to those in most need.
The photographs I share in this post show the faces of those who went out to obtain care, demonstrating the actual effect of such projects. These health screenings are more than simply medical check-ups; they express excitement, kindness, and unity. With each event, we go one step closer to lowering the poor number of deaths due to a lack of access to healthcare in Africa.
As we seek to promote and engage in these critical efforts, we are planting the seeds of change and growth in our communities. We can create a world in which decent treatment is a fundamental human right rather than a luxury.
The cost for healthcare is so expensive that not everyone can afford it, many have lost their lives because they could not feet medical bills.
Unfortunately what you have spoken about here, we are now even seeing in Australia, especially with the elderly.
The support of the government is going down, therefore the cost of healthcare going up and now it has become a luxury instead of a necessity, even though it really is a necessity and the lack of government support is only going to make it worse for the government when all of the workers are too ill to work.
But I am so happy to hear how Hive has become involved and how it can help.
