Some decisions just seem to work out really well!
This is my first post of 2022, and I just wanted to check in with an update on something I participated in, over the New Year.
Things are looking sunny and bright!
A couple of weeks ago — as part of a slightly different strategy for 2022 — I decided to delegate 60,000 CCC tokens to @cccf, the Creative Coin Fund, because they have been doing an excellent job curating and rewarding art and other creative content in the community... and generally helping the previously neglected Creative Coin Community get back on its feet.
Of course, my decision was also influenced by the additional "carrot" of @worldbuilder's impending Airdrop of WIT tokens to those who were delegating CCC to the Creative Coin Fund by December 31st.
Wow! Things Have Gone Really Well!
Well, it has now been two weeks since the original "snapshot" and subsequent airdrop. And I must say that the results have been quite impressive!
I ended 2021 with 61,123 Staked CCC... and just two weeks later, that stake has already grown to 62,757 staked CCC, thanks to the "double dividend" for staking more than 10,000 CCC and keeping the WIT airdropped tokens staked.
Definitely better than I could ever have hoped to do through my own curation efforts!
But wait, there's more!
The WIT token airdrop was a 1-for-1 deal in staked tokens, so on January 1st I woke up to find myself the owner of 60,000 WIT tokens!
But that original staked airdrop... which I'm HODLing onto... has continued to give, to where my stake just two weeks later has already grown to 81,439 WIT tokens!
Of course the WIT token is still very new and trying to find its value level... right now, the buy/sell spread is huge, so it's hard to assess its worth, but since I am planning to just hold on to the tokens and keep them staked, it's not that important, at this time.
Anyway, I'm just very grateful that it has all gone as well as it has, and I am particularly glad to be part of something that supports creative content on Hive!

Glad to hear that you're enjoying our combined efforts! We are passionate about CreativeCoin and hoping that our little Writers token will end up providing a little more incentive to all of the great writers on our chain.
60 grand is a nice size sum to delegate! I was only able to delegate 21000, that was almost all that I have, I only had a couple hundred left after that. The delegation reward was pretty nice though.
A great start to 2022 Cypto collecting, to be sure. I was unfamiliar with the WIT token but I will be checking it out. With so many new tokens out there, we need solid info on those that may hold true value.
