Hello nature lovers, especially of Cacti and Succulents! It's been a long time since I've been here, the truth is that I haven't had much time to go out with my photography, and you already know my garden from end to end hahaha, however, and although this time I didn't leave my house, I couldn't help but share with you the most beautiful flower I have in my garden. For nobody is a secret how much I love flowers and photography, although with these two things I am not very good, because plants usually end up dying and with photography, I still need to learn, having a garden full of flowers is a lady's dream that I have had for a long time now, so I have to learn how to photograph, every time I find a plant that is within my standards of forgetful woman, I go for it, so, when I discovered that the Midnight Lady (Epiphyllum oxypetalum), whose flower is a beauty, as you can see, is a kind of cactus, without thorns, I undertook the search for a specimen for my garden.
Almost a year ago, I was given a branch of this plant, and when I got home, I left it in a bowl with water, with very little faith (I must admit) that the plant would emerge in a good way, after a month I planted it in a pot with a good substrate and placed it out of sight of visitors, because I had it as the jewel in the crown, only to exhibit on a special date hahaha. About a month ago, I noticed that some bulbs were beginning to emerge from its leaves, which serve as branches, and as the days went by, I realized that they were flowers that began to emerge, as the weeks went by there were less and less, because they came off by themselves, and in the end I could not find them anywhere, a single bulb was left and to be honest, I prayed that it would not fall and I could see my beautiful flower in all its splendor.
I wanted to take some macro shots, to see in detail how it is inside, it was full of ants, and the smell is something spectacular, I wanted to take some more when it was at its peak, but that night it started to rain and when it dawned it was already closed and withered, it is a pity that it only gives us its beauty for one night only, I hope soon to have more of these in my new favorite plant hahaha.

¡Hola amantes de naturaleza, sobre todo de los Cactus y Suculentas! Hace mucho que no venía por aquí, la verdad es que, no he tenido mucho tiempo para salir con mi fotografía, y ya mi jardín se lo conocen de cabo a rabo jajaja, sin embargo, y aunque esta vez no salí de casa, no podía dejar de compartirles la flor más hermosa que tengo en mi jardín. Para nadie es un secreto lo mucho que amo las flores y la fotografía, aunque con estas dos cosas no soy muy buena, pues las plantas por lo general terminan muriéndose y con la fotografía, aún me falta por aprender, tener un jardín lleno de flores es un sueño de señora que tengo desde hace mucho rato ya, por lo que, cada que encuentro una planta que este dentro de mis estándares de mujer olvidadiza, voy por ella, así que, cuando descubrí que la Dama de la Media Noche (Epiphyllum oxypetalum), cuya flor es una hermosura, como la pueden observar, es una especie de cactus, sin espinas, emprendí la búsqueda de un espécimen para mi jardín.
Hace casi un año, me regalaron una rama de esta planta, y al llegar a casa, la dejé en un tazón con agua, con muy poca fe (debo admitir) de que la planta surgiera de buena manera, al cabo de un mes la plante en una macetita con un buen sustrato y la coloque apartada de la vista de los visitantes, pues la tenía como la joya de la corona, solo para exhibir en una fecha especial jajaja. Hace un mes aproximadamente, me percaté de que estaban comenzando a salir algunos bulbos de sus hojas, que hacen las veces de ramas, y con el pasar de los días, me di cuenta de que eran flores que comenzaban a emerger, conforme pasaban las semanas iban quedando menos, pues se desprendían solas, y al final no las encontraba por ningún lado, un solo bulbo fue quedando y siendo sinceros, rezaba para que este no se cayera y poder ver mi hermosa flor en todo su esplendor.
Quise tomar algunas tomas macro, para ver en detalle cómo es por dentro, estaba llena de hormigas, y el olor es algo espectacular, quise tomar algunas más cuando estuviera en su punto máximo, pero esa noche comenzó a llover y ya cuando amaneció estaba cerrada y marchita, es una lástima que solo nos regale su belleza por una noche nada más, espero pronto volver a tener más de estas en mi nueva planta favorita jajaja

El florecimiento de esta planta es magia. La flor se abre sólo por una noche para extasiarnos con su aroma y belleza. Yo tengo una en Cumaná, la noche que vi que iba a abrirse toda, hice guardia para no perderme el espectáculo. Me encantaron tus fotos, mi querida Francis. Un abarzote.
Yo no pude verla completamente abierta, pues esa noche planeaba estar en vigilia y Mathias enfermo en la madrugada y me olvide por completo de la flor y de todo, espero poder estar al pendiente y sin contratiempos para la próxima, saludos mi bella.
