For this contest, which is blogging about the place you'd like to revisit the place I'd like to revisit is Florida. Besides Florida's the only cool place I've been to and/or have memories/photos of.

In the summer of 2009, my aunt arranged the trip for me. It's been a while, I think I went to Orlando. It was the first time I went on an adventure.

We flew, therefore making it my first time flying. The flight was for about 2 hours.

This will be a recap of some of my favorite moments. Keep in mind, I was 13 when this happened.

The photo is from Universal Studios.  I would visit the place again if I had the opportunity.

On the first day there, (my first full day) I went to Disney World. I accidentally erased the footage because I didn't know how to use the camera, my mom bought. Pre-smart phone era was like that. Someone broke into our room and stole the pouch the directions were in. So I couldn't read them to learn how to work the camera. I should have done that before I left just in case. Who breaks into a room for a small camera pouch?!  I mentioned pre-smart phone era because now you have the cloud which allows you to back up your content. Anything can go wrong/you can make a mistake. backing up your content is paramount. You don't wanna lose those memories!  I derailed the topic back on track. Disney World in Florida didn't have rides or attractions like the one in Cali. I was going to get on a balloon that goes in the air, sways, and comes down. Unfortunately, they had to close the ride down due to high winds. The balloon was the only thing close to a ride this park had. I am not sure if Florida has more than one Disney park. This blog was my first time in the state. If they do, I'm guessing, the one in Miami (assuming Miami got a Disney park) would have been better. I was in Orlando.

On Monday we drove to Miami to go to the Kennedy Space Center. I didn't like the space center that much, it was a nice attraction to visit. It was alright. I'm not a space fan.  I'm not an enthusiast with space/rockets the same way I am with trains.

I enjoyed the commute, though. I saw some islands and folks fishing on the water. I recall saying in my video "I could move here"

Tuesday was boring stuff the adults did. No videos/photos for Tuesday.

I enjoyed breakfast outside. the patio had a screen to keep bugs away. There were a lot of lizards where I was. I'd see them hanging out on the screen. I wasn't used to them coming from the Midwest

also, it was next to a nice pond. I enjoy a spot with a view. We stayed at an apartment. I suppose my aunt had that timeshare thing that allows you a vacation house. I am unsure if it was cheaper than a hotel.

Universal Studios was my favorite. I got on a roller coaster. There was a bench near the ride. My grandma claimed she heard me screaming over everyone else on the ride lmao.I wish I had photos, I went on a Spiderman simulator ride. I got on a water slide and was soaked. The sign said you will get wet. I was soaked. Why are we stating the obvious? if a ride involves water, you will get splashed. The trip got rained out. it rained every day I was there.  I take it so many people were surprised Pikachu when they got on the ride and got wet, to the point the ride operator had to put the sign up there. This is why the aliens won't talk to us.

Bonus, I took a vlog. I am sorry the quality was shit, my mom bought the camera she could afford. also at the time, I didn't know much about editing and saved the video in a shitty quality. perhaps it will give you that early 2000s vibe?  Before the smartphone era. Even at this time, YouTube didn't have HD quality yet.

In the video, I went to an outdoor mall.  My aunt and grandma went shopping while I chilled outside. The video contains things I didn't photograph.

Think of a typical mall where you shop, with the mall part outdoors instead of indoors. Not sure how to explain it, when you walk around looking for a store to shop in.

I didn't get any photos, I went to the pool for a while. I only got to go 2 times out of the entire week I was there due to the stupid rain. The first time I took an evening swim (the same day I arrived) the next day was mid-day. I had to be accompanied by an adult due to the pool's rules.

My mom didn't like the swimsuit. I did for some reason.

My aunt has one photo, I went to a murder mystery dinner/play combo.

I took a photo with the actors (my aunt took the photo, she never sent it to me)

Someone took our photo at our dinner table. My grandma got a copy for her keychain.

I had some good times on this trip. I saw some new things.  Got to experience a true adventure.

The rain was a bummer. I went in late July/first week of August. That must be the hottest/rainiest time for Florida. Maybe if I had gone earlier in the summer, it wouldn't have rained that much.  I sweated like a pig out there.

I had the best time ever on this trip.  I wish I could relive it. I wish I could go on a reunion trip. So many things have changed.

I hope you enjoyed this blog.  I tried my best to make it interesting. I don't get to travel very often. This trip was a huge deal.

ALL photo/video footage is mine. I use my footage and my footage only for travel blog posts.
