Hello fellow Hiveans!
I recently found a unique opportunity to fly at the local velodrome in Dulwich, London.
The charity running it offers coaching for all ages and racing days for people who want a really true experience.
I first caught a glimpse of the track from afar whilst in a nearby park.
The location of the venue means that it would a fair walk from that park and I would be rushed to get some good shots before heading back.
Fortunately, when I emailed asking for permission to take off from the land around the track, the staff were really helpful and welcoming of any footage and shots.
I wanted general views of the location, focusing on the venue but I always had a main goal of trying long exposure from inside of the track as the cyclists were speeding around.
It has been a while since I engaged in commercial side of things and I had a huge amount of fun engaging whist learning a lot.
I will be going back on a different day to try the racing side of things, these shots I present today show the trainers working with the students to reach their target set by either party.
Of course I got some shots of the surrounding area too!
I had a lot of fun and will be going back soon.
