Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday. A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. Finally I could go to see my mom, after so many months, everything had been complicated, but Mother's Day was the boost we needed. ¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Al fin pude ir a ver a mi mamá, después de tantos meses, vaya que todo se había complicado, pero el Día de las Madres fue el impulso que nos hacía falta. Igual fueron cortas horas en mi casa materna, aunque las aproveché al máximo, y desde que despedimos a mi papá el año pasado hemos confirmado que lo único que necesitamos es juntarnos, charlar y pasar un buen rato en familia. Esta fecha siempre era un gran evento y desde mi infancia uno de los mejores momentos del día de las madres y también e día de los padres es cuando les dedicaba alguna canción, una canción pop, por supuesto, la música de ellos no era parte activa de mi repertorio 😅 Hoy quiero recomendarles estas canciones que le he regalado a mi mamá en algún momento de mi vida, no sé si ustedes también piensen que sean adecuadas para una mamá, yo así lo siento...
1. Christina Aguilera - Por Siempre Tú
Por Siempre Tú, the Spanish version of Christina Aguilera's I Turn To You from 2000. I tell you that although it is not Shakira, this is my favorite song of all my life, no other song has come out that surpasses it and takes away that place of honor. Since those first times I listened to it, I understood that everything the lyrics said was synonymous with the love I had for my mother and the return of love I felt from her to me. Don't get carried away by the lyrics of the English version, no, they are not the same. It is the Spanish version that describes my feelings, the one I gave to my mom and the one that makes me think it is right for her.
Mom always listened to this song when I played it at home, but it had a different meaning since I gave it to her in Serenata. The only thing that has changed is that phrase: “My Greatest Love Yet”, that “yet” tells us that the same song knew that another great love would come into my life, but there is still enough heart for both my mom and my girl. I'm not one to share lyrics in #ttt, but I want to do the English translation so my non-Hispanic friends can see what I'm saying, and also I leave you my cover of Por Siempre Tú, I wasn't very in tune that day 😅 but that's what's there so far 🤣
Por Siempre Tú, la versión en español de I Turn To You de Christina Aguilera del año 2000. Les cuento que aunque no es Shakira, esta es mi canción favorita de toda la vida, no ha salido otra canción que supere y le quite ese puesto de honor. Desde esas primeras veces que la escuché entendí que todo lo que decía la letra era sinónimo del amor que le tenía a mi mamá y el retorno de amor que sentía de ella hacia mí. No se dejen llevar por la letra de la versión en inglés, no, no son iguales. Es la versión en español la que describe mis sentimientos, la que le regalé a mi mamá y la que me hace pensar que es correcta para ella.
Mamá siempre escuchaba esta canción cuando yo la colocaba en casa, pero tuvo un significado distinto desde que se la regalé en Serenata. Lo único que ha cambiado es esa frase: "Mi Gran Amor Aún", ese "aún" nos indica que la misma canción sabía que otro gran amor llegaría a mi vida, pero igual hay suficiente corazón para ambas, mi mamá y mi chica. No soy de compartir la letra de las canciones en #ttt, pero quiero hacer la traducción al inglés para que mis amigos no hispanos puedan ver lo que digo, y además les dejo mi cover de Por Siempre Tú, no estaba muy afinado ese día 😅 pero es lo que hay hasta ahora 🤣

I haven't dedicated it to my mom, but I can't stop thinking about her when I listen to it. Sí, Shakira logró colarse nuevamente en mis selecciones para los Martes, pero ¿Cómo no hacerlo?, ¿Han escuchado realmente esta canción?... No se la he dedicado a mi mamá, pero no puedo dejar de pensar en ella cuando la escucho. Pero es muy triste, por que al igual que la compositora lo siente, trata sobre una vida post apocalíptica, una vida donde nos recuperamos del dolor apoyados en nuestro amor madre/hijos. A veces pareciera que no podremos recuperarnos de todo lo que pasó, siento que siempre estará en las sombras asechándonos, pero al menos nos alegramos de que uno de nosotros esté bien y esté feliz, así sea de raticos, mi hermano, mi mamá y yo... Los que quedamos...

No podía culminar este post dedicado a mi mamá sin compartir esta canción que mi papá le escribió y le regaló en sus primeros años de casados. ¡Que dicha fue que la haya grabado para Hive!... Ha pasado casi un año y medio de su partida y casi dos años desde aquel terrible accidente que cambió todo, pero en cierta forma nuestras vidas siguen girando en torno a él, no es tan fácil equilibrar las cosas nuevamente cuando un pilar tan fuerte en el hogar se derrumba... Espero puedan disfrutar su canto, su canción y sobre todo su gran amor por mi mamá ❤️

Esa canción no es de las más conocidas, pero es muy especial, siempre he querido hacer una versión que suene más a balada que a pop, quizás algún día. Ya sé que te gusta la Oreja, es una banda muy especial, y ese disco para mí es el mejor, no sé cual será tu preferido...
Hay muchos favoritos, con la nueva cantante, Cometas por el cielo y A las Cinco en el Astoria.

For me music is one of the ways to unite many races, many cultures apart from how happy it makes you feel it can generate or produce emotions of happiness in a day that starts badly, music is really one of the things that I can enjoy with all passion.

Nice picks! Shakira always puts out great music, since I first heard songs from Pies Delcalzos I have been a fan. La Oreja de VanGogh is another on of my favorite bands, they wrote some great songs, and I have all their albums! Nadie Como Tu es buena.
Christina sure did well with Por Siempre Tu, but I liked her better in English than Spanish. Same way I prefer Sharkira in Spanish more than English.
