Today's forest exploration || discovering Rhombodera extensicollis, reflections and lessons from nature

in StemSocial16 days ago

Today I did another natural exploration in the forest area near my house, and from this exploration I found something interesting, namely a dead Rhombodera extensicollis, Rhombodera extensicollis which is also known as a type of praying mantis, has a distinctive body shape and attractive with its bright green color and strong body posture, this discovery gave me the opportunity to learn more about this species and the importance of maintaining the balance of the ecosystem around us, even though I only found dead creatures and my feelings were sad, and this also reminds me I'm about the cycle of life in nature.

Rhombodera extensicollis is a species of praying mantis that is quite unique, one of its distinctive characteristics is its long neck and wide chest shield, and this posture makes it look more intimidating to predators. In forest ecosystems, praying mantises play an important role as predators for other insects, in They can interpret this as controlling insects which will become pests for plants cultivated by farmers who live near the forest, therefore the presence of Rhombodera extensicollis always gets positive value from the community because it has become the guardian of natural balance and a healthy environment.

When I found the dead praying mantis, I took a few moments to observe and photograph it. I had many opportunities to pay close attention to every small part of the insect's body. The first thing that caught my attention was the head and structure. the wings are complicated and the shape of the legs are strong, I think the praying mantis is designed very perfectly, try to notice that every part of its body is designed so perfectly for one purpose, namely for a specific role in the ecosystem, its large wings allow for precise and fast maneuvers when hunting, while its strong legs are prioritized for gripping and holding prey until it dies.

my discovery today will probably remind us all about how important it is to protect and preserve the nature around us, the forest where I went around today is home to many species and one of them is Rhombodera extensicollis which I found dead, but on the other hand I have concerns about human pressures such as deforestation, climate change and pollution that could threaten the existence of insects in the forest that I explored today, I really hope that thoughts about protecting and preserving forests can be considered as a shared responsibility so that the species that already exist in the forest are protected and not experiencing mass extinction, as I said at the beginning of the post Rhombodera extensicollis has a role in maintaining natural balance by controlling the population, while on the other hand grasshoppers, butterflies and other types of insects have a different and beneficial role for human survival, wrong One of them is the role of insects in cross-pollination, which from this activity will produce lots of food for all creatures.

Are you curious about how beautiful Rhombodera extensicollis is even though it is dead? OK, now let's look at some of the photos that I have captured for you;

The head of Rhombodera extensicollis looks clear like a crystal.

Does looking at this remind you of bodybuilders showing off their muscles? I think you said "yes".

The wings of Rhombodera extensicollis are complicated and sturdy, at the tip of which you will see sharp and venomous spines.

Rhombodera extensicollis dies and hugs the weeds.

I took three pictures of Rhombodera extensicollis with the camera at a distance so that you can see Rhombodera extensicollis completely, there you can see all parts of the insect's body (shell) as clear as a shining crystal.

If you look at it from the side, the body of Rhombodera extensicollis has a curved waist like the body of a girl who is the dream of many men, even though this insect has died, it still looks beautiful.

the discovery of the dead Rhombodera extensicollis was a moment of reflection for me, seeing the cycle of life directly taught me about the uncertainty and beauty of nature, even though its life has ended, the Rhombodera extensicollis or praying mantis still provides lessons for those of us who are still alive, hopefully we all have awareness and caring for the environment around us, protecting and preserving it for the next generation is a noble action that we can do today, maybe this sounds unimportant for some people who don't care about the environment, I won't mind it, but for those of you who care about the environment then you You can start with one small action, namely "don't think about destroying nature", thoughts will always protect and guide you towards glory and respect, your life is very valuable for life and the universe, be one of us who cares about the environment.

the discovery of dead Rhombodera extensicollis opened my eyes to how important every living creature is in the ecosystem, I was not only limited to seeing dead Rhombodera extensicollis, but I also felt the extraordinary wonder and complexity of nature, this experience increased my respect for nature and the creatures in it, on the other hand, apart from knowledge about the ecological role of Rhombodera extensicollis, this discovery also motivated me to learn more about insects and their role in our environment, Rhombodera extensicollis is a natural predator that maintains populations of other insects , so that it contributes significantly to the balance of the ecosystem, I am inspired about how we can all maintain this balance and ensure their habitat remains protected.

As I walked deeper into the forest, I began to realize how much more I had to learn from the forest around my house, every tree, plant and all the creatures in this forest have unique ways of living and different roles. towards the ecosystem, because of this I always need support to help me carry out exploration and research in the forest near my house, and so far I have learned about fungi and insects, I hope that in the future I can learn more and share it in the @stemsocial community, all people expect to think of me as a friend, companion or family.

I only learned the species names and references here

Oh I see there are many insects over your area seems like everyday you go out to explore and find a new type of insect or bugs.

!PIZZA

yeah you're right, but the problem is there are some types of insects that are very difficult to photograph, they are really wild, I hope I can buy a professional camera soon to capture lots of animals and publish on the hive ☺️
