Cuando hace cinco años decidí tener una nueva compañía peluda, no dudé en escoger una raza primero que todo fuera fuerte y longeva, mi anterior experiencia había sido verdaderamente traumática, cuando perdí a mi preciosa Luna, una cokers spaniels que solo me duró 9 años, así es que no estaba ni estoy en condiciones de volver a pasar por lo mismo...incluso, ya tenía un perrito callejero escogido, pero por casualidades del destino no ocurrió y aunque puedo acusarme de haber sido selectiva y algo presuntuosa a la hora de escoger, porque sinceramente me dejé seducir por un perro de raza, y no por un criollo, igual no me voy castigar por eso, fue el corazón quién decidió.

Si crees que tener un Pitbull te ofrece más riesgos por el tamaño de su mordida o por su carácter, créeme que estás muy alejado de la realidad en el reino canino.Mi nena me ha enterrado sus afilados colmillos dos veces en mi nariz, y otro par de ellas en los dedos de mi manos ... aunque debo reconocer que las mordidas en la nariz fueron bastantes inesperadas también lo suficientes para no olvidar cuáles son los momentos de peligros...no importa el tamaño que tenga un perro, al final, son animales, ¿verdad?
Y como he ido entendiendo cada día con más conciencia cómo lidiar con ella, decidí dejarme de hacer la sabelotodo en materia de cuidados perrunos y llevarla a cortar sus uñas con un profesional.El motivo es simple, cada vez que le corto las uñas me muerde todos mis dedos y termino molesta con ella por dos días, sin embargo ella no, ella después de morderme con toda su rabia insiste en estar a mi lado y encima de mí como un chicle, como si fuera todo su derecho en el mundo, y aunque haya hecho trizas mi confianza.

And as I have been understanding every day with more awareness how to deal with her, I decided to stop being a know-it-all when it comes to doggy care and take her to have her nails trimmed by a professional, the reason is simple, every time I trim her nails she bites all my fingers and I end up annoyed with her for two days, however she does not, she after biting me with all her rage insists on being next to me and on top of me like a chewing gum, as if it was all her right in the world, and although she has shattered my confidence.
Entonces, como hoy le tocaba un chequeo médico decidí que le cortaran sus uñitas de paso, ya que con el trauma que representa el mal momento para las dos las había dejado crecer bastante y ¿qué mejor que un buen médico experimentado para que hiciera suyo el problema?
Pero con lo que no conté fue que no hubiera un técnico en la clínica para que lo ayudara, por lo que terminé yo en el mismo lugar que había evitado: ¡agarrándola!
Todas las personas que han tenido un chihuahua saben que por encima de cualquier cosa ODIAN que les toquen sus patas, por lo que sí quieres molestarlos , intenta por una vez agarrarle sus patas o sus uñas, te aseguro un éxito total, serás víctima de su terrible carácter.
Pero como tengo una bursitis en uno de mis hombros, no la contuve bien y terminé con sus colmillos nuevamente clavados en mis manos, dentro de una uña y al costado del pulgar por otra vez más...¡perfecto!...el médico entre irónico y sarcástico solo me miró y me dijo:
-¿Tú no querías un chihuahua? Esto es un chihuahua.

Imagínate que te pinchas con una aguja muy fina por debajo de la uña, esa fue mi peor mordida de hoy... respiré profundo, cambié de brazo, y la pude contener el resto de las uñas....
No le grité, ni la regañé, sé que fue su instinto de supervivencia más fuerte que ella misma, pero habrá que buscar más recursos de convivencia sana, ¿Un bozal, anestesia, amarres? No sé, ya veremos para el próximo corte de uñas qué sucede.
Evidentemente la naturaleza es muy sabia porque los melones nacen de plantas rastreras y no de árboles altos, ¿se imaginan si le cae a alguien en la cabeza un melón desde lo alto?
Sería lo mismo suponer que un Pitbull tenga el carácter de un chihuahua y que le muestre los dientes por todo, estoy segura que muy poca gente se atrevería a tenerlos.Evidentemente la naturaleza es sabia.
Nunca subestimes a tu animalito, no creas que por el hecho de que te ama con toda su vida puede obviar su propia naturaleza, son animales y aunque domesticados y con sentimientos de apego, reaccionan de maneras diferentes por razas...mi anterior mascota, fue incapaz de darme un solo mordisco en toda su vida (nueve años), y nos adorábamos, sin embargo, la chihuahua me adora casi de manera enfermiza, y no logra controlar sus instintos salvajes.

yo he tratado con una se llama summer y de verdad conmigo es un amor, creo que el malgenio puede ser que le pasa algo no se siente bien o simplemente hay que buscarle la vuelta, eso de que la raza define su carácter no lo creo, así como los humanos se amargan o algo los hace atacar así mismo es con los animales, hay que saber detectar lo que incomoda y buscar ayudarlos.

Los chihuahuas difieren mucho unos de otros, eso lo he pedido comprobar, he conocido algunos así como dices,muy tímidos pero nunca agresivos , y claro, con un carácter más dulce...la mía no sé lleva con ningún perrito, es verdaderamente antisociable, y con las personas un poco más interactiva, pero no creas, le ladra a todos, inclusive he tenido que cargarla a tiempo porque creo que llegaría a agredir a alguien... Tiene un temperamento difícil la pequeña....
Sin embargo a mí esposo lo respeta muchísimo, pero claro , él no le corta sus uñas, no la inyecta, no la baña, no la cura...!porque le da lástima!
Entonces , quedé yo como la mala para ella...😐😄
