Pygmy goat. Good idea or bad?

in #ireland18 days ago

I know that it's a silly idea but we really love them and keep wanting to get a couple. We have the space now to hold a few small animals but none of them would be as fun as these.

But just look at how adorable they are.

The best part of any pet farm is the mini goats. They always catch our attention.

Not even that expensive to buy either.

Do Pygmy Goats Make Good Pets?

Pygmy goats are social animals and many of them enjoy the presence of people. More than anything, though, they like having a goat companion. It’s recommended to keep at least two Pygmy goats at any given time. This can be a mating pair or two wethered, or neutered, males.

They are fairly low maintenance as far as animals go just needing fresh food and water every day as well as some grooming.

All very possible for us.

I would need to build a shelter and fended off area for them but that can all be done by myself. After that it's just food, medicine and small bits and pieces.

It will probably never happen but the temptation is always there to just get a couple of them.

The goats are cute but I wonder how you’d be able to manage them
You know how stubborn goats can be
Right?

They are cute! I saw some videos in TikTok showing their antics and these goats are truly adorable.

Not sure if they give off such smell - goats have a stenchy smell that I don't like.

Ha. Maintaining them if there is enough greenfield space would be good. This will make a good retirement plan for me. I always wanted pets like this. Adding it to my list. :D
