Weekly Running Update: Bit of a Slack Week!

in #leo27 days ago

I only managed two runs this week, but that was because of being back into teaching. That was easy enough in the end, even enjoyable, but still stressful, and besides being in a hotel I just got in the 'T.V. in the evening mode', and being on the High Street there was nowhere particularly pleasant to run to!

Anyways, two is enough to keep things ticking over....

Today's Run

This was a great run, mainly because it was sunny and I headed off early. I drove out to my local hilly wood and got a nice hilly 10K in. I was pretty slow, mainly because off faffing about with half a dozen styles and gates in the first few KMs, but it's worth it!

It was still boggy underfoot in places, but the middle section where it's hilly was fine. I had to take it slow for the first two thirds as that was mainly uphill, but then the final third is downhill.

I must try this in reverse at some point. But not before I park up the top and do a little experiment trying out some new routes from a slightly different starting point!

Friday's Run...

This was my first run after about a five day gap, and I just headed out for a 5K, no pressure, I was just glad to get out. I did my classic start slow and gradually get faster routine, just under 24 mins, I am getting back to form!

Disappointing step count...

You can see how work brough my step count for the week down down down, that's being in a hotel, driving to the work venue and that was about it!

At least I got 18K in today!

Next week's plans...

Well I want that step count back up to 10K, I am gonna make sure I do 10K tomo, push it on all my non run days, and I should be fine.

And THREE runs, naturally!

That’s good going!

Sometimes stuff gets in the way, but a couple of runs is okay for a week and you're getting a great pace. Nothing wrong with your legs :)

Have a good week.

That's not bad man. What's your record for steps in a day? I have a 33k step day and I don't even remember why I did it XD

I think it's 35K - that was just a long country walk
