I opted to go for a relatively small LPUD today of just 10 LEO POWER.
Mainly because I'm thinking of going into the Cacao-LEO pool on the new LEODEX.
If you haven't yet checked out the new and revamped LEODEX frontend you should, it looks pretty sleak!
Leo Pros...
Well firstly LEO is built on Hive and the whole blockchain social media thing still makes sense to me... giving people the opportunity to earn money from their content, which they control.
And InLeo has definitely evolved that Hive concept with threads and ads. It's a good idea built on a good idea.
I think we are finally getting there. I can see the vision falling into place. There is no need for me to spell this out in depth, you can see it on the newwly revamped LEO DOCS page.

Which clearly outlines how the entire ecosystem fits together, including the concept of value capture: through ads, Premium, subscriptions and promotions.
NB the new DEX is also pretty slick and well worth checking out.
Another final strength is the evolution of LEO - Khal's tried a lot of different things over the years and rejected those that failed, such as Cub, to finally arrive at something that seems to be working.
Leo's price has been around $0.10 for a while, pumped a bit over it, now back down to $0.07 but that's OK.
Very finally as a blogger, publishing on LEO suits me just fine, it's a nice way to earn a few extra squid!
LEO Cons...
I may be wrong about this, but I do believe LEO has a single point of issuance, like all Hive-Engine tokens. We're pretty much dependent on Khal I think.
Of course you could say the same about blocktrades and Hive, but I think it's far worse with HE. One account controls LEO ultimately.
I'm sure any changes would be put to a vote, but this bothers me and is why I haven't traded in more Hive for LEO.
Premium didn't really work out for me, my content just stopped getting voted for some reason, so I quit. I also don't like the idea of pay for vote.
NB I'm not salty about not getting voted by that massive account, I do fine out of Hive rather than LEO, and my content's not that great. Hardly any content on LEO has any real value, but it's all relative. I'm not paying for a service that upvotes other people's worthless content more than my own worthless content! This is just the monkey in me!
The thin content SEO penalty...?
Our best chance of getting noticed is our content, the problem is most content on both Hive and LEO is thin, especially threads. With little interest or engagement, everything which starts with the inleo url is going to suffer a ranking penalty.
That's why you can rarely find anything published on Hive or LEO with a general search.
This could be a challenge to the whole ads model going forwards...
However I'm still hopeful....
Honestly, I think we just need a bull run to encourage a few people to punt 10% of their mental BTC gains into Hive and LEO.

It's good that the Leo team are trying to innovate, but they do need to ensure the site is stable as it crashes a lot. I have not gone for Premium as I don't see much value for me. The features you get are not worth it to me. Threads can give some interesting news, but there's a lot of junk in there (Ecency Waves may be even worse). I post there sometimes anyway.
I have some investment in $LEO, but nothing major as $HIVE is my focus. I would hope the projects can collaborate to standardise things like chat, polls and embedding media to give a better experience for everyone.
It's a constant work in progress. Defo better off with Hive I agree it's L1 after all! But nice to have some diversity too! Agree that Premium ain't worth it!
Thanks for the reminder in the title about the LPUD. It had completely slipped my mind. Regarding CACAO-LEO, I also think it's a good pool, I have some in it and intend to add more. As I do on the HE side too. I agree with the pros and cons, btw. Regarding ads, they are currently disabled (payment too low and introduced bugs in the interface, said Khal) until they implement them as an in-house system.
Oh I wondered why the payouts had stopped! Still a work in progress!
I try to earn much more LEO from both curation and author rewards, but my LP is just 300s now :)

Truly the premium content vote is a steep slope..
Especially for new accounts who may want to get it.
The votes aren't guaranteed and the vote amount is relative.
Although it's still not all bad, it does add a sense of professionalism to the frontend😂
Plus some lucky people do earn enough from the votes to get the initial deposit of 10HBD back.
You do generally get yr money back true, it's just not really worth it for me I do OK anyway!

Thinking about the same myself! Waiting for metamask to be added to the login options, not that keen on adding yet another wallet to my list.
I'm still not convinced about the ads bit.
