This blog is about how we are an entrepreneur and how our day is productive. It all started in our EPP class when our professor wanted us to make a kitchen demonstration where we going to make something to sell.
After the discussion on what we gonna do, I and my groupmate planned on what we going to cook and sell, so we planned to make a lava cake after a thorough discussion we decided to make a Choco mochi, we wanted something that our schoolmate doesn't taste it.
Choco mochi is a Japanese delicacy the usual mochi is they put some ice cream inside the dough since we can't afford ice cream we find some alternative to it.
The day after tomorrow we already bought all the things that we needed to make the Choco mochi, we went to a known supermarket in our town then after that we went to a Do it yourself shop where we could buy a cupcake holder.
When we reached the shop, we immediately put our bags on the counter since we were always there to buy some materials for our school projects that staff had already recognized us, while we choosing a design for our cupcake holder some of my classmates were lying on the floor we having a great bond that time.
Before we went home, I and my friends decided to eat our lunch first, so we just brought food then when we finished our food we said goodbye to each other and we separated ways.
On the day of our cooking demonstration, we went to the kitchen to prepare and wash our hands and the things that we needed for our cooking demonstration.
First I cooked the filling of our mochi and next, I heated the pan, and then I put the butter, butter also gives another flavour to our filling.
After I put that butter next was the chocolate condensed milk which was the main ingredient of our chocolate filling. Cooked it on low heat until the chocolate sticks on the spoon. Then add some cornstarch to make the filling still soft.
Then we flattened the dough and put the filling on it. we did it faster than we could so that the student would not take their lunch but unfortunately, when we finished our product it was 12 already noon so it was lunchtime.
So it was a bit struggle for us to sell it but we still tried around the campus, fortunately, some students were buying also our campus director's office also bought 10 pcs that time we were all jumping because someone bought it for us.
After that, tried again to sell it on the campus but struggled because other students were on their lunch, some were still full, and some were taking some discounts but if we gave a discount we wouldn't have profit on our sales which is what we are needed.
So we came up with the idea that we were going to sell it outside the campus, we tried in the store or people walking, first, we approached a padyak driver ( Bicycle driver ) who bought one mochi.
Then we tried at the bakeshop they also buy 4pcs we continued to sell our mochi until everyone approached us that they wanted to buy.
We saw our professor in the Special Education class then we shouted her name, she asked us why we were on the street we said that no one buying our food inside the campus so we tried to sell it outside then she bought 10 pieces of mochi.
Then we continued until we reached this pharmacy. eir was a vendor approached her but that time she was hesitant to buy when she saw that we were wearing our school uniform, she said okay let me buy one piece first
Then she liked our mochi she bought all the mochi that was left,
Then she gave it to the pharmacist to try because it was so delicious, she also asked us to make more but we could not because it was already 2 in the afternoon and we hadn't eaten our lunch.
But our hearts were overwhelmed by what she said, our hard work was worth everything in that single word she said.
Then my friends and I decided to buy lunch, we agreed to buy some puso (Filipino rice that is coated by coconut leaves ) paired with chicken Inasal( Grilled Chicken) and then soda for our drinks.
After we bought everything we walked toward our tambayan to eat our lunch which was in Savemore Naga, then we just sat on the floor and prepared everything that we just ate together.
Our hard work, patience, and worry were paved because we sold all the mochi that we made and the people who bought our food liked it and I was grateful to my friends because of our teamwork, cooperation we conquered the challenges that we faced during our kitchen demonstration.
