Becoming A Runner | Dying Light Gameplay Part 1

Hello everyone! This is @hiddenblade and I just started a separate account specifically for gaming as I don't want to spam the personal account with this cos it's already chop sueyed enough. XD

Today I wanted to show my first gameplay recording with a camera. I'm very awkward as you can see but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone. :P

Dying Light is one of the games that I really enjoyed when I first played it in 2018 but I've never finished it despite the many hours playing it. I like doing a lot of side quests and upskilling and overall exploring the environment and finding some easter eggs lol. I'm a master procrastinator even in games. :P Then I got busy with art and stuff that I was not able to get back to the game until now.

I'm playing it all over again cos there's no point continuing the 15% progress I had before and trying to remember how to navigate. XD

I was playing this on a laptop before as well, so I didn't really get to enjoy the high graphics so now I'm trying it with my new gear and it's smooth AFFFF.

The thing that makes Dying Light unique is the zombie horror game with PARKOUR. And boi the parkours are satisfying AF even when our character is just a beginner. :D

In this first part of the gameplay, there will be a lot of cut scenes as we are still learning the story and learning how to navigate and survive as well so there's not much "fun" going on. You can also see me do a lot of killing zombies and parkouring so I could gain points for more skill tree so I'm really not that type of gamer who goes to the next missions instantly. :P

I hope you enjoy and excuse some of the resting bitch face, it's a combination of being tired and annoyed from figuring out proper OBS settings and really just how my face looks like when I'm trying to focus on something. XD

I always felt like I should give game streaming a shot but I have the charisma of an empty bottle so I guess I'll just leave it to you girls with cat-ear headphones XD

Also, I miss playing with a mouse - I notice you instantly looking around instead of Playstation's controller, which is more like a pig roast slowly rotating above a campfire every time you want to look around

I also thought of that before. I have no engaging personality, I'm very awkward on cam, I'm most certainly not comfortable cracking random jokes on cam, and I don't know what will be a "unique" trait for me that will attract viewers, I'm not even funny or entertaining - at least not yet for some of these traits. XD But I realized life is too short and some people like authenticity so maybe I can attract the viewers with the same personality that I have - or maybe I can just do whatever I want without thinking about what other people might say (as I have a really good relationship with overthinking) haha. So who cares to be honest, do what you want to do. :D

Hahah dude I don't understand why they love this Razer Kitty headphones. It sounds so terrible. It sounds like a $5 headphone but the price is expensive.. it's so sharp? I don't know how to describe it but it's very cheap sound lol. It just look so CUTE and pretty pink with rgb hahah but I don't see any reviews about the sound quality being terrible. I don't know if they just don't care about it or I just have a defective headphone lol. I don't wear this on a daily basis. XD

Yeahhh my mouse sensitivity is also very high I forgot to change it in the game. Ahhh aiming on a controller is so hard for me haha but I get what you mean XD

as I have a really good relationship with overthinking

I like this phrase heh. Yeah me too. Too much bugs me. My fiance says all I do is complain but maybe that's my charm in a gaming environment haha. But yeah just DO it for fun, people forget that option!

Nicee! The gameplay looks great. I played this game quite a bit but never really ended up finishing it. Hope you'll have a lot of fun on your new gaming journey!

Yeah it's why this game still has a lot of new players despite it being 8 years old. And I think the developers are still improving stuff, listening to the community.. so that's why it got a lot better :D

I am having a lot of fun indeed, thank you! :D

Such a great game. Put a lot of hours into this just roaming the city and killing zombies.

Yeah, even just roaming is fun haha :D

Streamer ~ ka pretty uy, mag dula natag valo 😆

Gani, kita ni @spintwister hahah

Congrats on your first gameplay video [with a camera]. It's always nice seeing people play stuff they enjoy and share it to others.

Thank you! Life is too short not to share haha

Handling more than one account could be a pain. I promised myself that I would post non-witness content on my @gandalf account but I don't have enough time to properly handle that.
Alternative could be to post on your main account, in Hive Gaming community, but without re-blogging so it wouldn't appear on your feed (i.e. just within communities).

Anyway, have a nice game :-)

It is, posting and engaging on both accounts is not easy 😂 That was my first option too, to just post in communities... But I would like to link this account to any audiences I might bring from outside Hive (Idk maybe from Youtube or something) rather than my personal account with art, travel, photography, and all non-gaming stuff they might not want to see. Having a lot of hobbies is a struggle 😅

Thanks Gandalf :D

I didn't think it would start so fast after you created your account. These graphics are so good, I'm sure it feels 10 times better than playing on a laptop. I'm curious about your next game 😎

I've already recorded them a week ago and edited days ago.. But I felt weird just posting it without explaining that it will be on a different account and some background story I can share haha.

Duuuude it really feels like 10x better omg. I thought when they say for example "this laptop has 4090 GPU" it will be the same performance as a 4090 in a PC... hahah I was so wrong about that.

Nah I wish they had same performance on laptop and PC but it's totally different. PC is much better than laptop. Haha so these are stock videos that's okay too 😄

The video game looks brutal. In other words, great. I didn't know it and I don't know if my little machine can process it, but I'll try to give it a try.

On the other hand, I love your set up. I see that you really like this world of technology.

I send you a nice hug 🤗

I like to see some streaming speedruns about this game, it seems that nothing makes sense in this apocalyptic world. Congratulations on the gameplay, without unnecessary comments or narrating the entire game.

I love this game, I love zombie games, I think it's great the format, the graphics, everything, I want to play it.
