Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! For my entry this week, I wanted to make a recreation in my style of a card that I really like and that I have drawn before, but only in traditional, so this time I wanted to do it again, but in digital and see how it looked. The card I'm talking about is Torrent Fiend, I don't know what this card has, but I love it very much, so it was the one I chose to make it for the contest.
Hola gente bonita! ¡Espero estén súper bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Para mi entrada de esta semana, quise hacer una recreación a mi estilo de una carta que me gusta mucho y que ya he dibujado antes, pero solo en tradicional, así que esta vez la quise volver a hacer, pero en digital y ver que tal me quedaba. La carta que les hablo es la de Torrent Fiend, no sé que tiene esa carta, pero me encanta mucho, así que fue la que escogí para hacerla para el concurso.
I started making the sketch of the character and yes, I did the same pose as the original illustration, I always make my fanarts different from the originals, but this time I wanted to focus more on the color work of the drawing.
Comencé haciendo el boceto del personaje y sí, hice la misma pose que tiene la ilustración original, la verdad siempre hago mis fanarts diferentes a los originales, pero esta vez quise enfocarme mas bien en el trabajo de color del dibujo.

I just made a super dirty and basic sketch to work with, the truth is I knew I wasn't going to use line art for this drawing, so I just structured it very simple and then I went to add the color. I took the same colors that the original character has to do the color work, but the tones were a little more saturated and I didn't detail so much the drawing, because as I said before, I wanted to do something simple and that's why I went for a recreation of it in my style.
Solo hice un boceto super sucio y básico para trabajar, la verdad sabia que no iba a usar line art para este dibujo, así que solo lo estructure muy sencillo para luego irme a agregar el color. Tomo los mismos colores que tiene el personaje original para hacer el trabajo de color, pero los tonos los trabajo un poco más saturados y no detalle tanto el dibujo, porque como les dije anteriormente, quise hacer algo simple y por eso me fui mas bien por una recreación de la misma a mi estilo.

I applied a base layer of color in the illustration, which was a light orange and then I applied the other colors of the drawing itself, blurring everything once I added all the colors to the drawing. I worked everything in the same layer, since the illustration itself would not have so many details and it would not complicate anything. After adding color and blurring everything, I went to make that kind of transparent “body” that has the character itself, that the truth to do it, I just applied over what I had painted the color, which was a white greenish white and lowered the opacity and that was it.
Aplique una capa base de color en la ilustración, que fue un naranja claro y luego me fui aplicar los demás colores del dibujo en sí, difuminando todo una vez agrego todos los colores al dibujo. Trabaje todo en una misma capa, ya que la ilustración en sí no tendría tantos detalles y no me complicaría en nada. Luego de haber estado agregando color y difuminando todo, me fui a hacer esa especie de "cuerpo" transparente que tiene el personaje en sí, que la verdad para hacerlo, solo aplique por encima de lo que tenia pintado el color, que fue un blanco tirando a verde y le baje la opacidad y listo.

I kept detailing the whole drawing after that, adding some veins on the transparent body and making all the bones and other details on it. I added a lot of glitters all over the illustration and I feel they gave a beautiful look to the character. I also added the glows in the background to match or have some harmony with the whole composition of the drawing and that's it folks, that would be it.
Seguí detallando todo el dibujo después de eso, agregando algunas venas en el cuerpo transparente y haciendo todos los huesos y demás detalles en el mismo. Agregue muchos brillos en toda la ilustración y siento que le dieron una vista hermosa al personaje. También agregue los brillos en el fondo para que hiciesen juego o tuviera cierta armonía con toda la composición del dibujo y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
