It's been two long weeks since I went home. I can say, finally almost done with everything and just waiting now for my due date. Though sometimes I couldn't help but to feel bored! As much as I wanted to do this and that, for now my movements were limited. At least just a month of waiting!
Glad today I woke up earlier than the previous days, yep at past seven. Weather was good here, the problem was the water supply. Most of the time I stay up late just to do the laundry and other tasks. Resulting in waking up past eight in the morning the next day .
With that I decided to go to the market to buy something to cook. While walking I was reminiscing about the busy streets of Manila. Impatient drivers blowing horns, congested roads, polluted smoke from the engines; it was too different from here. Only a few vehicles passed by and the neighborhood was quiet.
What I didn't like was I needed to walk for at least ten minutes going to the market or 7/11. Yet since I am pregnant and walk slowly, it could be twenty. On The Bright side, at least I had an exercise which I badly needed. Dropped by here for a while as I need to withdraw some cash.
Across the road, I saw some bread displayed at the bakery. It looks so delicious so I bought a slice. Afterwards, I started to purchase what I needed and went home. Believe me, it feels like I've been in a marathon . Was so tired that I rested until the afternoon, not until my sister in law asked me if I wanted to visit her in their house.
Lhes, perhaps you want some mangoes and Moringa?
Okay fine, at least another exercise for today as sitting all day doing nothing makes my cramps worse.
Did you see that? Hope a kid who owned that kite didn't cry! Saw several kids flying a kite the other day.
The weather was gloomy and it seemed everyone was in their respective homes as I am the only one walking. I didn't mind until I saw this dog! He started to walk near me and started to sniff! Goodness, I was afraid that he might bite me so I shoo him away!
Finally I arrived at my sister in law 's house and got some mangoes! There were a lot of fruits and it wasn't tall so it was kinda easy to harvest.
It was just in our reach! Want some?
Seeing the trunk reminds me of my childhood days. Where I would climb a mango tree near our house with a knife and salt. Then pick some mangoes and eat while sitting on the swaying branches. My late grandma would sometimes scold me as she found it too dangerous!
What about some papaya? This is perfect for tinola, should we buy some native chickens?
And there is a ripe one! It might be small compared to what is sold in the market but native papaya was sweeter. So I harvested the ripe one even though it wasn't mine .
On the other side, dragon fruits started to bear flowers. Sadly not that much compared to last year. I guessed it's because of too much heat. Yet at least there are fruits to be harvested in the next months. AH remembered how expensive dragon fruit juice is in Starbucks. Now, surely I can have a glass of fresh one!
And it was not the only flower that bloomed, even this wild one.
Oh, it was already past five in the afternoon so I decided to go home. Already got what I wanted except for moringa. There is none but maybe next month.
And I started to walk back home again, still I needed to cook dinner. I have no other choice aside from canned foods .
That's how my Sunday goes .

That sound like a very nice Sunday, and yeah I know the struggle with big belly, although I didn't personally experience it, but I saw how my wife moved when she was pregnant. !LOLZ
but the good side is that you could have the exercise, hopefully it will help you a lot during the delivery.
I wish that everything went smoothly my friend, can't wait to see the little face : )

I can totally imagine how tiring it was for you walking due to your pregnancy and I so much admire the fact that you could actually do all that because most ladies wouldn’t be able to do that in their first two weeks of pregnancy.

The busy streets of Manila and other metro cities nearby doesn't give that alluring factor to me anymore they are just there to be there. Though it is hard cause I seldom rants na walang GRAB and food panda nearby, nothing beats the province with the freshness of everything.
Papaya for Tinola? YEs na yes for sure as long as it is free.
