Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes como me fue llevando a mis estudiantes a un paseo por el Parque Temático Bosque Macuto, se trata de un parque ubicado en las afueras de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, específicamente en la localidad del Roble.
Today I want to share with you how I was taking my students to a walk through the Bosque Macuto Theme Park, a park located on the outskirts of the city of Barquisimeto, specifically in the town of El Roble.

Resulta que este parque no es de fácil acceso, por lo que las visitas a él deben ser bien planificadas y contar con transporte privado. Aquí existen varias actividades que los guarda parques realizan con los estudiantes por lo que se trató de una actividad evaluativa. Las docentes que administran la cátedra de orientación y convivencia organizaron toda la logística para que el paseo se diera sin ningún contratiempo.
Los estudiantes debían llegar a las instalaciones del plantel donde cada docente debía organizar a su sección, verificar los pagos del transporte y las autorizaciones de los chicos; fueron colocados en filas en la cancha, luego de allí abordaban los autobuses para emprender nuestro viaje hasta el Bosque Macuto.
It turns out that this park is not easily accessible, so visits to it must be well planned and have private transportation. There are several activities that the park rangers carry out with the students, so this was an evaluative activity. The teachers who administer the orientation and coexistence course organized all the logistics so that the trip would go off without a hitch.
The students had to arrive at the school facilities where each teacher had to organize their section, verify the transportation payments and the children's authorizations; they were placed in rows on the field, then from there they boarded the buses to start our trip to the Macuto Forest.
Una vez llegamos al lugar, los chicos bajaron de los autobuses y por sección se colocaron en la entrada del parque para una foto grupal; de allí ingresaron y fueron llevados hasta el final del bosque, específicamente a una cancha para una pequeña actividad recreativa y de allí cada guarda parques tomo dos secciones y conjuntamente con dos profesores comenzaron su paseo por el parque. Cabe resaltar, que yo estaba con la sección A y B, así que comenzamos nuestra aventura.
Once we arrived at the place, the kids got off the buses and by section were placed at the entrance of the park for a group photo; from there they entered and were taken to the end of the forest, specifically to a field for a small recreational activity and from there each park ranger took two sections and together with two teachers began their walk through the park. It should be noted that I was with section A and B, so we began our adventure.
La primera parada fue el huerto, allí los chicos recibieron una pequeña charla de plantas medicinales y ornamentales; también ofrecieron las plantas que estaban a la venta las cuales tienen un costo de 1$. Después fueron llevados a donde están las lombrices y que interesante para ellos fue saber que las lombrices son unos animalitos bastante lucrativos.
The first stop was the vegetable garden, where the children received a short talk about medicinal and ornamental plants; they also offered the plants for sale which cost $1.00. Then they were taken to where the worms are and how interesting it was for them to learn that worms are quite lucrative little animals.
Una vez terminaron el paseo por las lombrices, fueron llevados a donde preparan el abono, le explicaron cómo se prepara y lo bueno que es el excremento de los animales para las plantas. Luego fuimos a una especie de anfiteatro, allí un recreador les hizo una actividad muy divertida donde los chicos cantaron, corrieron y se rieron muchísimo.
Once they finished the worm walk, they were taken to where they prepared the compost, they were explained how it is prepared and how good the animal excrement is for the plants. Then we went to a kind of amphitheater, where a recreator did a very funny activity where the children sang, ran and laughed a lot.
Al terminar la actividad recreativa vino mi parte favorita, la cual era ver a los animales… La primera jaula tenia gallinas las cuales estaban comiendo; la segunda jaula tenía un hermoso venadito, estaba pequeño y no quería mostrar mucho la cara; luego se encontraba un pavo real quien no quiso abrir su abanico para nosotros; en la siguiente jaula estaba un lindo monito capuchino, él si era muy sociable y estaba encantado con la comida que los niños le daban; un cunaguaro también estaba en una jaula, pero sinceramente lo note estresado caminando de un lado a otro. Luego estaban los animales de la granja de contacto chivos, ovejos y una vaca y para finalizar dieron un pequeño recorrido por el serpentario y el acuario.
At the end of the recreational activity came my favorite part, which was seeing the animals.... The first cage had chickens which were eating; the second cage had a beautiful little deer, he was small and did not want to show his face too much; then there was a peacock who did not want to open his fan for us; in the next cage was a cute little capuchin monkey, he was very sociable and was delighted with the food that the children gave him; a cunaguaro was also in a cage, but honestly I noticed him stressed walking from one side to the other. Then there were the animals of the contact farm, goats, sheep and a cow and to finish they gave a small tour of the serpentarium and the aquarium.
Como última estación, los jóvenes dieron un pequeño paseo en bote por un lago que tiene el bosque. Ya finalizando el paseo se les dieron unos minutos para que estuvieran en los columpios, se tomaran fotos y compraran cosas para comer. Fue muy grato ver como los chicos se divirtieron en un espacio diferente al del liceo, además que se portaron muy bien y cuando nos tocó retornar la mayoría se durmió en el autobús jajajaja creo que se cansaron.
As a last station, the young people took a short boat ride on a lake in the forest. At the end of the ride, they were given a few minutes to hang out on the swings, take pictures and buy things to eat. It was very nice to see how the kids had fun in a different space than the high school, besides they behaved very well and when it was our turn to return most of them fell asleep on the bus hahaha I think they got tired.

Excelente actividad la que tuvieron, me hiciste recordar una practica que tuve una vez en ese mismo parque, específicamente en la parte de las lombrices jeje. Es un hermoso lugar, hay mucho que ver y rodeado de naturaleza todo es mejor. Muy lindas tus fotos y está genial tu post Hanny, un abrazo.

Debo confesarte que la parte de las lombrices no fue la más agradable para mí, pero a los chicos si les encantó estaban ansiosos por tocarlas, la verdad fue una buena actividad, una clase diferente.
