As I start walking, there's an excitement and confusion inside my heart and mind. I know, there's a lot of memories we left there and the moments cannot be measured. I act to myself, like what I did before if I'm going to visit my grandma.
When I saw this hand water pump or in Cebuano we called it "poso", I remember where people could get water for cooking, bathing, washing clothes and everything. I remember how joyful it was and importance of this poso to everyone. This is for free, and it needs more energy when you want to do it.
I keep walking until I reach these forest. A tall mahogany tree and coconuts tree. Actually, this is the way to get there for my grandmother's old house. Before, I always dreamed maybe someday I can take a picture by its beauty and cold area. However, you must be careful if your walking here, the leaves are slippery and maybe you might be fall.
Since the house can be found at the top of the mountain, this time I experienced again a mountaineering. I started walking, be more careful of this big rocks, it's too sharp. I'm so excited this time, but I'm so exhausted this time. I take a short break to gain some air. Feel the fresh air while watching the other side of the mountain. I remember at this point, how hard life it is while you want to get water from poso up to here in top of the mountain. The trail are so dangerous, and it's uneasy carrying a container of water. In spite of that, I've experienced it before, carrying a container while walking at this trail and I realized it so hard, how much more to my grandma.
After few minutes, I reach in to the house, it look so old and cautious to live. This what I like about having this rubber jar for the resources of water from the rains. The beauty in it, inside and out are incredible and amazing.
As I go inside, I saw the living room where I usually have fun with my grandma. I'm afraid of walking in it but I try to not got any harm.
This is the kitchen of my grandma before. The dining area, sitting in the floor while we're eating. Sharing any silly moments we've experienced. Before, we usually ate like, sweet potato,and bananas. I'm contented of that.
This is the cooking part, we used firewoods to cook. The only thing is complex when it has heavy rains, we have rain drops due to the hole of the roof. Nevertheless, it's very good and nice to have this kind of life.
As I enter to the room or we usually sleep with my lola, I saw the broken door and few clothes remain. I guess my grandma forgot these things. I can say, every section of this house there's a best memories that I could left. The happiness, sad moments, tears and laughs cannot be happen at the same time and place.
The only place where I could also gain more energy and peace of mind is in this place, my grandmother's old house. The beauty, the mountains from side to side and even the ocean from afar, I can see it. I also experienced here, the hardest life in order to live in poverty but we're rich in love. I learned a lot from my grandma, the patients, hardwork, humility, respect and discipline. I learned also, to be more practical and dreaming that someday I will be the one who save lola from the poverty. I want to give stable life for her.
