Transforming common supplies into elegant wall decor

in DIYHub16 days ago

Hello everyone! Welcome to the DIY community, a community that allows people to show their craft skills and also to learn from different people from different countries.

Today I will be making a simple wall decor from our regular items at home.

Materials are:

Paper
Carton
Gum
Scissors
Paint
Jean
Pen
Foam
Plate
A broomstick
Flower
Disposable plastic cover

Procedure:

I placed the plate on the carton and then made use of a pen to draw a circle shape out in two places.

I made use of scissors to cut them out. After that, I applied gum to one side, then placed it on the other circle. I set it aside to dry while I proceeded with some other things.

I cut a rectangular shape from the paper, then placed the broomstick at the edge and rolled it up to the other edge. I applied gum at the tip of the last edge to hold it down.

I rolled the amount of paper I would need for the craft; now it is time to bring them together.

I made use of a pen to draw some lines on the circle for measurements so that what I was about to place on it would be equal.

Meanwhile, I cut the paper into different sizes because I needed them to be different from each other.

I applied gum to each line, then I started placing the rolled papers on it until there was no space on the circle again.

After that, I cut another round shape out of the carton, applied gum to it, and then placed it on top of the gum paper to cover it up.

Now it's time for painting. I cut a small piece of foam, tied it on a broomstick, dipped it inside the paint plastic, and then started to paint the design.

After painting, I put it outside for the sun to dry it up while I proceeded with some other things.

I made use of scissors to cut different shapes out of the disposable plastic cover, then set them aside.

I placed the plate on a used jean skirt, then made use of a pen to draw a circle out. I used scissors to cut the circle out.

By the time I was done with the cutting, the paint had already dried, so I applied gum to the middle part, then placed the circle jeans on top.

I applied gum to each plastic shape, then I started to place them on each piece of painted paper to give it another look.

I cut some flowers out of used clothes, then applied gum to them and placed them on the jeans, both at the top and bottom.

Wow, the outcome is so beautiful, simple, and elegant as well.
I applied gum at the back and then placed it on the wall.

I hope you like my simple, elegant wall decor.
