RE: Pod People: Apple's marketing for their AR Vision Pro headset is delusional

I was thinking how great this tech would be if added to a helmet. Car or motorcycle can keep it charged and there would be far fewer head injuries caused by distracted driving. Could fly straight through the windshield and not even miss a call.

A lot of recent cars feature HUDs reflected on the windshield, and there were those Cadillacs that had infrared nightvision a long long time ago. With thermal cameras getting better, I wonder if that'll make a comeback too.

Edit: the Cadillac Deville first got it in 2000, holy shit. A lot of modern cars seem to have nightvision but we've regressed and they seem to be displayed in the dashboard screen rather than projected to your eyeballs via the windshield.

Motorcycle HUDs make a lot of sense and just searching for that, it seems we're well past the future:

We're all going to look like Daft Punk. These helmets make a lot of sense. And you won't need to take it off in the store. Wearing it is what unlocks the door. That's the shitty part. Plus Musk will want to connect it directly to your neural pathways. The Walmart greeter will be replaced with a voice inside your head. The future sounds amazing.
