One reader suggested that maybe this was Apple's way of indicating that the CD drive had been refurbished. Most companies just use a sticker, but everyone knows that Apple likes to be different, so I wouldn't put this past them!
This may not be hard-hitting news but you have to admit it is pretty weird! :P
