Ah.... Friday Eve again. It seems to come around faster and faster. Although I love it's almost the weekend, I don't really care to see my life actually whizzing by so fast.... !
Yesterday evening I rode down to the mailbox because I had a notice that new stencils had arrived. Yes I'm still doing all of that, have several things started, but nothing fun to show again yet. On the way back around the house to pull into the carport I saw my peonies were blooming.
After I got out of the car I walked back around to where they are growing and picked one. It's a funny thing, because I almost hate to pick them off, but I do get to enjoy them close up more if one comes in the house with me. They smell SO divine !
I put it in a little vase as soon as I got inside and left it out in the living area for the evening. This morning as I was getting myself ready for work, I took it and put it on the little table beside my work desk so I could enjoy looking at it and smelling it all day.
It made me smile, every time I got a whiff of it.
I was waiting for something on my computer to load this afternoon and as I waited I looked over at my flower and noticed the sunlight from the window was sparkling off of some tiny bubbles on the bottom of the vase and up around the glass near the top. I loved that too.
An fun little addition to an already lovely thing.
So soft and velvety pink. What is not to love about them?
I worked over today, then punched out, grabbed a shower and washed my hair. Now, the rest of the evening is for finding a little something to eat for my last meal of the day, a little later than usual, but that's ok. Then I will turn on some art videos from youtube through my firestick on my TV and play a while at my art desk. New stencils, lots of paint and pretty papers assure something fun will be going on.
