Alarmist. Poem

in #coronavirus4 years ago

Sooo much happens in two weeks...

People dying in real time...

Incubating life inside them

Life that destroys worlds

Famine and disease in the air

They mourn their families

while

we shop
and talk
and argue...

What is really happening? We ask ourselves.

People desensitized by a world worn by disaster

So blind by media we cannot see the next threat

Please stay safe

Please ...

I worry for the people traveling

I worry for the people who don't care.

There are some that I hope get it.

There are some who will get it... despite that hope.

I care about the ones I love

Just like everybody else

The rest can die

They can die in ignorance

I will look after the ones that love me

I will look after the orphans

I will feed the ones I can

We are in a depression now

I can only spare so much

If the virus spares you

People will only spare so much

If you do not catch the virus now

Well you will soon catch hunger and despair.

For the propaganda artists... for those sweet catfishers

I pray

to whatever god there is -

That they drown in their own despair

May their lungs drown them in lies

With each lie may their lungs fill up

With each lie

may they gasp for air

May all liars despair

With each lie may they know Gods hate

God hates liars

If you lie

I pray you catch it

I hope you wretch

I hope you gasp

I hope you call out to god for forgiveness

For all others... Well I hope you make it or that god takes you quickly

God knows we can't spare the body bags or the beds....
