Part Two: Exchanging your DVC tokens on STELLAR for Blockchain DVC coins

I recently wrote a tutorial how to use the STELLAR platform to buy DVC tokens from @knotwork and promised to continue with a follow up tutorial on exchanging those STELLAR platform DVC for blockchain coins that I can store in my Windows Devcoin GUI wallet. The wallet I am using is the only working version available to download for Windows and you can get it from the official Devcoin website at devcoin.org in the wallet section.

The file you download will be called Devcoin-1.0.16-w32.zip and once you extract it you will be able to open it from that folder by clicking Devcoin-qt.exe to load the Windows GUI wallet.

If you are using Windows the version these are the details of the software you will be using for Windows. There have been no more recent Windows wallets for Devcoin but you can see it is up to date here:

Since your STELLAR wallet is usable on any Stellar Wallet supporting platform/software, I plugged my private keys into the keybase.io app (mobile was used for this process, but they also have desktop apps) - and my DVC token balance displayed quite clearly in the Wallet section of the Keybase app.

From there I got instruction via the encrypted messaging system on how @knotwork wanted to do the exchange. He decided it would be best to just send the DVC tokens to him using keybase:

Before sending him the DVC tokens, I sent him a heads up message that I was about to start the process. Next I plugged in a newly created DVC address that I generated for this transaction using my Devcoin - Wallet on Windows. I plugged that in the encrypted part of the message (which sends over keybase to @knotwork). The last part of the send form where I wrote "satoshi0x DVC tokens" is the Memo that is part of the Stellar Tx data for the STELLAR ledger:

I took a screen shot of the process before hitting send so the issuer knew exactly how I filled the form out in case of any problems as I have not used keybase app to do this type of transaction yet. What you see written below is me sending it to @knotwork on our encrypted keybase messaging session (i.e. "chat" on the app). I sent the screenshot of the completed transaction to @knotwork subsequently in the same messaging session to show the process was a success according to keybase after I sent the transaction to his account on Keybase:

You can see I no longer have DVC in this wallet that I sent my DVC tokens from. This is what your wallet looks like within the keybase mobile app. I clicked "Send" just to show you that you do have the option to send to a Stellar address if you so choose instead of to a Keybase user. Since @knotwork told me to use his Keybase user account (account also named "knotwork") - I decided to do it that way since he's already a contact of mine:

To be clear on how to get to your wallet on the Keybase app, just go to the burger icon on the far right of the blue bottom menu, then click Wallet to get to your Keybase account Stellar wallet.

I sent @knotwork a message on Keybase as well in our chat with my DVC - Wallet address I had put in the encrypted keybase section of the Send form just in case something didn't go through right for him to receive it. I suppose he already could see the address in the screenshots I sent him earlier that show the address, but I sent it as an encrypted text in the chat so he could easily copy and paste if need be. Better to be safe than sorry!

I hope that was a nice and easy explanation showing how to carry out the final part of this process from STELLAR to get blockchain coins in your Devcoin wallets!
