Sana Sleep Headboard Setup

MASS PRODUCED AND BARELY FIT FOR PURPOSE

I recently bought a new bed from amazon to accommodate the visitors I'm expecting over the next few months - friends and family will be coming to stay for various time periods and I want them to be comfortable.

It's not cheap-cheap, but it's not a high-end bed. Let's just leave it at that. It's amazing how mass-produced things have really dropped in quality these days. There's been a big advancement in technology, but the products are getting worse. If you were to compare this bed to the stuff you could get 20 years ago, it's totally night and day. The fabric, the fittings, the wood, everything is 10X lower quality.

Anyhow, in this video I demonstrate how to install the headboard, having already set up the bed itself. They've cut corners with the headboard as well. There should be four bolts to hold it nice and steady, but they only included two. This means you have to really tighten the two bolts to hold the headboard steady. No idea why they've done this. There's also no space to put another pair of bolts, even if I decided to get my own.

Overall, it's not actually a bad bed. The mattress is comfortable enough, which is the most important part, and it looks good. That seems to be the goal these days - the looks. As long as it is aesthetically satisfactory, the quality can suffer as much as it wants.

Peace & Love,

Adé

The quality of things has been slowly degrading since Bernays suggested things be made to fail so more can be sold. It's all about the money/profit motive. Indeed, many things We could rely on are no longer reliable.

I know friends who have refrigerators that are 30 years old and still running fine, and Others who bought a new refrigerator a few years ago and already it's on the fritz. Planned obsolescence.

I ponder the Maytag commercials I remember as a child, where the serviceman was shown with nothing to do because the refrigerators were so well made. And they were. Today, such a claim would be laughable.

Ah, the great planned obsolescence. My boiler is 25 years old and still works. I dread the day I have to get a "modern" one that breaks every two years.

All for money, that waste-creating practice is. And money promotes psychopaths to power, creates poverty and privilege, and is a downright archaic tool.

And to think... We're ALL multimillionaires, but the psychopaths in control keep Us from Our interest in Our planet's wealth.

It’s a good thing that the mattress is comfortable. Haven’t seen this kind of bed before though that even has a screw
Looks good!
