We are very happy and proud to announce that @DIYHUB is a part of the OCD Incubation Program and we are able to nominate undervalued posts from the DIYHUB community for further support by @ocd. In this article we are going to tell you what your posts has to fulfill to be valid for the procedure.

Most important:
Post your DIY projects into the DIYHUB community!

created with dall-e

Our curation initiative more and more focuses on posts inside of our own community. By posting into our community your content will receive extra exposure to curators and the community members who are waiting here for your next new DIY projects and inspiration. Additionally if your post fulfills below mentioned requirements (pinned post in the community) you will earn a 100% vote from @DIYHUB instead of only 50% or less if we discover your post elsewhere.

We are constantly working on building an active community of DIY creators all around the world. Join us and build strong relations with other creators from your niche, get valuable feedback and join discussions in the comment sections. Next to these pretty obvious benefits, direct posting into the community is also a requirement from the OCD Incubation Program we talk about next.

We can nominate your content for the OCD Incubation Program!

If your post fits exactly our requirements and target niches and is posted (not cross-posted) into the DIYHUB community you will have a good chance that your content is valid for the process.

Next to a few basic factors we only take posts in account that are undervalued and have a need for more appreciation. On top of our own requirements the curators on @ocd's side will also evaluate your posts based on their rules and finally decide about if and with how much voting weight they will vote the nomination. So don't think that the vote is guaranteed if your post itself fulfills our requirements and please don't take it personal when the @ocd vote does not float into your notifications.

What will come next?

Soon we will announcing a monthly contest full of creativity and ideas for your next DIY projects and with various prizes sponsored by many other communities, apps and projects here on HIVE! Next to this we are now fortunately in the position to host side quests for our community members. Stay excited!

Prepare yourself for a year 2023 full of inspiration here in the community and make sure to subscribe to our account and the community to not miss the announcements and contest entries! Of course the contest entries will all have to get posted into the DIYHUB community and fulfill our requirements so they also have a good chance to get nominated for @ocd!

This is good news, congrats.
I'll be happy to join.
BTW, I've seen art tutorials in curation categories. How do I define the tutorial? Is there any requirement for that? Suppose I want to show a work of my digital art, I can write about how I went through the art but is that enough for the tutorial or should I do something else?

It's simple, you need to explain the process and the tools you used to get the final result, attach screenshots, post in DIYHub and that's it.

Nope I have to say you are not correct on this one. We have stepped away from this kind of posts since this would (only) describe the process. Tutorials are more than showing the process step-by-step.

They show deeper knowledge and use cases. Like "what kind of pencils are good for learning to draw", "how to draw eyes more realistically", "5 tips for more 3 dimensional environments", "my tips to mixing colors" etc. this kind of things which are not only documenting a process.

I think we should redefine the art space in our curation to be fully transparent. Let's work on that so we can provide something different than our great art communities on hive already do.

I think I understand what you're talking about but I just don't understand how to show those.
For example, if we talk about "how to draw eyes more realistically", how would I make a tutorial post out of it? photos can't be enough for that, are you advising to record video clips on certain parts and talks about it like maybe I can even add voice for some certain parts.
Well I'll try to do one later as an example and will see if that fits.
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for your reply.
How you explained and how I show my art, that's a process article but they're talking about tutorials.

That's a tricky one for our curators as well but we are aiming for only tutorial kind of posts when it comes to art. So explaining "how to achieve a result" and not only showing the process and result. We are aiming to inspire you to write more details and tips you have about the digital process. Like little side notes and stuff. The usual art posts we see are more just showing the process in steps. We want it a bit deeper if that makes sense. If not feel free to tell us :) we are trying to define that better in near future tho!

we are trying to define that better in near future tho!

That'd be better I think.
