We are hoping to get a Havanese dog like the one in this photo from my girlfriend when we can. We want a girl doggy and will call her Lucy. Havanese dogs have really soft fur and have great playful personalities and are clever dogs. Our current lease doesn't allow dogs but we are hopeful for the future life with dogs
My aunt had a dog from a similar breed, if not the same one. Despite what people were saying, it was indeed very clever and affectionate, I'd say with a huge loving heart! I think it lived up to its 12th year, that's quite an age for a dog, right :)

It sounds lovely :) and yeah 12 is a great age for a dog. I think the small ones live longer relative to the bigger dogs. Shame it's still short relative to our lifespans though
The reason I don't have a dog at the moment is exactly that - they become our friends, part of the family and then they are gone, so quickly, compared to our lives... My last dog, an amazing Labrador, lost his life in a ridiculous way and after more than a decade I am still not over it and I feel sad thinking of it... Now we pet three cats or I must say, they pet us, lol.
Yeah pets can unfortunately get sick or pass away unexpectedly and it is hard to get over. Good to have them around and nice that you still have cats
