Hive social club!

Good evening, friends! I’m dealing with a sick @guthrie. Poor guy is running a fever and since I’ll be up checking on him, I thought this would be a good time to get some thoughts on the blockchain in a freewrite. If you’re here for the pinup models, this one won’t be for you. Things are relatively good […other than our son feeling under the weather]. I mean, I can nitpick, sure. Things have been really frustrating on the @mirrorpool, EOS, Pomelo front. Money is terrible right now. I have been booking shoots in LA and Vegas for next month, it just isn’t enough. I’ve been living that stress most of my life, though, so it’s nothing new.

I've been cooking a lot, which is also therapeutic. Zuppa di Funghi last night. I’ve also been seeing friends and being social lately and that has been the story of the last few weeks. I am going through some difficult emotional stuff with someone close. Nothing I’m wanting to elaborate on publicly, but it’s taking a toll mentally and emotionally. @tarotbyfergus knows about it because I’ve hired him for a couple of readings, as does @lovejoy and @roadscape. The good news is, things with @vermillionfox and I are better than ever. She’s really stepped up for our family landing a good job. We’re both still kickboxing regularly and spending a lot of quality time together.

@lovejoy called and invited us, @mada and @amberjyang out for dinner to Gorkha Palace, my favorite dining establishment in the Twin Cities. It was great. We were able to laugh and lose ourselves in philosophical thought experiment conversations while ruminating on the threats of global agendas. A familiar feeling of being the fringe group of weirdos challenging one another and our own beliefs surrounded by a room full of normal folks trying their best to ignore the obnoxious iconoclasts in the periphery. From there, we took the party to @caffetto.

That night was probably the first time I recall feeling like I was in a world without the constant interruption of my own awareness of the COVID insanity. It felt like our lives before the world became unhinged. A couple days later, I saw @tarotbyfergus and was able to play a few games of Magic. Also, a reminder of how grateful I am that, although @caffetto is still inundated with lost souls wearing masks [more as a political statement than anything], I’m happy to have some of my old life back spending time with friends.

That's cool that you have other Hive members so close that you can get together with like that. I wish I had a real life community that kind of mirrors my Hive community so we could support each other more. Most of my close friends and relatives in real life aren't that interested in Hive. I think they humor me more than anything sometimes :P

We are pretty lucky to have this community here, @bozz. @caffetto has really become an incubator for Hive alumni over the years. It's actually where I had one of my most influential blockchain discussions with @robrigo years and years ago. There's a lot of history in that dirty coffee shop.

Very cool!

You guys look amazing together

Just hanging out with friends is a good way to relax. I hope to see more of them active on Hive when they have the time, but you can't be nagging them about it. I have had the same experience, but I have recruited a few who are into it.

Have fun.

Yeah, @steevc! It's funny how some people just take to the platform and others linger and leave. This is the only social network I've found that rewards you for your contributions and it's increasingly important to me that it's a censorship free space.

Awww, I love this. So great to spend in-person, quality time with you all. I look forward to doing it again!!

By the way, here is the video on the artificial womb facilities experiment. Crazy stuff!

It was great to see you, @amberjyang, today as well. Come back to Minneapolis soon!

it is best to have someone on your side that you count on when are sick

It's great that you support each other, sport is always good and helps to relieve stress! Be strong!
