Hey Steemit! Brown's Greens Urban Agriculture is how I got linked into this awesome community. We opened in 2016 and had a great first year building gardens for people and selling produce to local restaurants. I had to shut down this year due to some changes in my life and the life of my associate, and I took a job in the roofing industry. HOWEVER, I am re-launching the business one year from now! I have been planning and studying how to make it a killer success, and I am going to school for some certificates in Urban Agriculture and Landscaping this year as well to prep for the re-opening. I also plan to roll out composting services that will decrease our landfill waste, increase my city's availability of rich soil, and enrich the lives of many environmentally minded people. I am fully confident that we will flourish, but the start-up is the hardest part. So I'm asking for some help! I'll be posting the occasional steem-funding post like this one to try and grow my steemit profile and earn some steem that will go straight into my start-up fund.

I've never loved the idea of crowdfunding sites like gofundme or kickstarter because the folks who I would ask to donate to it are folks who I would rather just come and do business with me. But steemit seems better to me, casting your upvote to support my business is a little less charity feeling, and it costs you almost nothing as the donor. So if you feel like supporting an environmentally minded business that will work tirelessly to improve the lives and gardens of the state of Colorado, shoot me your upvote!

Brown's Greens new mission statement: "Brown's Greens is a landscaping company that specializes in urban agriculture. They offer a wide range of services to residents and businesses in Colorado who desire to participate in any/all aspects of urban agriculture. They have an acute focus on creating long lasting, beautiful, and environmentally friendly landscapes and gardens, and they aim to meet the growing demand in Colorado for the localization of food production."

Our current website, though I'm working on rolling out a new and improved one: http://www.brownsgreens.net/
