RE: Supplemental funding #4 for HBD stabilizer

Fuck then isn't that highway robbery or price manipulation?

I always thought the backed dollars were meant to stay a dollar and the token was to go sky high. I thought the dollar was for markets built on the chain and then the dollar would exist as a stable currency to transact with.

Then as more merchant layers exist the token would increase in value and those holding Hive could grow their asset and in turn (as that stays stable) they could confidently participate (spend) in the market places with dollars backed by that asset.

Isn't that what @dan the libertarian blockhead dreamed of when he put this whole thing in motion? Where is that mofo these days anyway. Came in to promote his badly-timed book about liberty in a world that became authoritarian, but does nothing to promote Hive!

Anyway imo these fixes are only for the peace of mind of those here. The platform is really missing a big dog to be the face of the chain. When Dan was it, the chain had weight in the game. @ned was always his fat toad sidekick that thought he was the face but that clown was useless.

So I think that position needs a person to stand up and go out and present the tech to the wider internet. Let the Koreans do what they do, it will likely work in favor in the long run but as long as no one is paying attention to what's developing here then this will just be another manipulatable crypto.

That's what I don't get, why no one stands up and fills that void. There's plenty that self declare themselves as leaders in here, like @acidyo @taskmaster4450 @edicted @theycallmedan and others.. but there's literally nothing about them outside of this system.

WHY?
Why so SHY?

If nothing else, there's opportunity there to build a name for themselves in the crypto sphere.

I just don't get why Hive "whales" only swim in shallow waters? You want to be beached?

Hey that was a good analogy!

Sort:

It is price manipulation by the people buying widgets for more than $1. They believe they can find a greater fool to sell those widgets for even more than the excessive price they're paying for them. That's not our fault or concern. We can make widgets for $1 and sell them for $1.50, so we do. Anything else would be foolish.
