HiveCuba P2P goes Open Source
From today, the small but powerful bot we have built for the Cuban community will be available for anyone who wants to use the code to create their own or join the existing one. This opens the doors for any community in Hive to offer a service to its members that until recently was impossible. Being able to buy or sell $HBD with FIAT without going through KYC is only possible with our bot.
There will be two ways to use the P2P:
The community wishing to do so can join the existing bot maintained by @hivecuba, enabling the creation of a separate channel for the offers their members publish. This way, everyone can use the same bot, but follow the channel they need according to the type of currency in their country. For Cubans, the current channel will remain, and others can be created for Venezuela, Mexico, Ghana, or any other country. Users only need to choose in which community to post their offers, and by communities we mean Telegram channels. We are already in discussions with a couple of communities that wish to join.
The other option is to use the code we are leaving in the public repository of our bot to create and maintain their own Telegram bot. In this way, they will be responsible for hosting and regular maintenance of the bot. It is a great advantage if the community has a member who can take care of it. Otherwise, we recommend the first option. You can learn more about this approach in the latest post by @ertytux.
The bot will continue to be improved, and as new features are tested, they will be added to the public repository so that those who wish can update their own. This does not prevent anyone from making contributions to the public repository or creating their own version as they see fit.
In whichever option a community chooses, our team is fully available to help in the process.

Desde hoy, el pequeño, pero poderoso bot que hemos construido para la comunidad cubana estará disponible para cualquiera que desee utilizar el código para crear el suyo propio o unirse al ya existente. Esto abré las puertas a cualquier comunidad en Hive para ofrecer un servicio a sus miembros que hasta hace poco era imposible. Poder comprar o vender $HBD con FIAT sin pasar por un KYC es solo posible con nuestro bot.
Habrá dos formas de utilizar el P2P:
La comunidad que lo desee puede agregarse al bot ya existente que es mantenido por @hivecuba, pudiendo crearse un canal propio para las ofertas que sus miembros publiquen. De esta forma todos podemos usar el mismo bot, pero siguiendo el canal que necesitemos según el tipo de moneda de nuestro país. Para los cubanos se quedaría el canal actual y se puede crear otros para Venezuela, México, Ghana o cualquier otro país. Los usuarios solamente deberán elegir en cual comunidad publicar sus ofertas y con comunidades nos referimos a canales en Telegram. Ya estamos en conversaciones con un par de comunidades que desean sumarse.
La otra opción es usar el código que estamos dejando en el repositorio público de nuestro bot para crear y mantener su propio bot de Telegram. De esta manera deberán hacerse cargo del hosting y mantenimiento regular del bot. Es una gran ventaja si la comunidad tiene algún miembro que pueda encargarse de ello. De lo contrario, aconsejamos la primera opción. Puedes conocer más sobre esta vía en la última publicación de @ertytux.
El bot seguirá mejorándose y a medida que las nuevas funcionalidades sean testeadas, se añadirán al repositorio público para que quienes lo deseen puedan actualizar el suyo propio. Eso no quita que cualquiera pueda hacer contribuciones al repositorio público o crear su propia versión a su forma.
En cualquiera de las opciones que una comunidad elija, nuestro equipo está en toda la disposición de ayudar en el proceso.

Roadmap
At the moment, there are several things added to our roadmap. The most important at the moment is to add Bitcoin Lightning to the coins that can be bought or sold, which are currently Hive and HBD. This will be done thanks to KeepSats in @v4vapp and @brianoflondon, which will allow us to have zero fees between hivers. But we leave you a list of everything we have planned for the near and distant future:
- Collaborate with other communities
- Add support for Sats through @v4vapp
- Implement buttons to improve usability
- Implement a way to keep the exchange within the bot always
- Create a webapp that frees us from depending on Telegram
- Add new languages if necessary
Any suggestions or ideas you have are welcome. Many of the improvements have been thanks to suggestions from members of our community who have been using it every week since its launch. Therefore, we want to thank @crptogeek, @literal, @amambay, and all those who have supported the project in one way or another.
# Roadmap
De momento existen varias cosas añadidas a nuestro roadmap. La más importante de momento es añadir Bitcoin Lightning a las monedas que se pueden comprar o vender, que hasta ahora son Hive y HBD. Esto se hará gracias a KeepSats en @v4vapp y a @brianoflondon, lo que nos permitirá tener cero fees entre hivers. Pero les dejamos un listado de todo lo que tenemos pensado para el futuro cercano y lejano:
- Colaborar con otras comunidades
- Añadir soporte para Sats mediante @v4vapp
- Implementar botones para mejorar la usabilidad
- Implementar una forma de mantener el intercambio dentro del bot siempre
- Crear una webapp que nos libere de depender en Telegram
- Añadir nuevos idiomas de ser necesario

Es posible convertir este proyecto en una propuesta al DHF? Lo digo pq la utilidad es real y de implementarse a mayor escala podría resolver el problema de la compra/venta sin necesidad de Binance, Coinbase y demás sitios con KYC.
Es algo que se puede hacer en el futuro. De momento toca ver que tan usable pueda volverse y que se pueda auto-sustentar con las delegaciones para hacer los fees bien pequeños.
Una buena propuesta puede hacerse para hacerlo compatible con las dapps y promover su uso mediante un buen marketing.
Excelente, es bueno saber que se trabaja por una mejor y más cómoda usabilidad a la hora de intercambiar las criptos en la blockchain, particularmente en nuestro país donde se dificulta el acceso a las criptomonedas mediante las vías más reconocidas mundialmente, esto sin duda introduce una mejora en nuestras vidas. Guys I don’t really get the use case of the bot yet. But the collaboration with v4v App sounds interesting. What will you do with it exactly?
The use case is simple: a p2p system where you can sell or buy HBD for Fiat without a KYC. Think of it, as the Binance p2p system but without a KYC and even without fees if you do a small delegation.
What we will do with V4V is to also add Lightning sats to the possible coins that any user can use and without fees for Hivers.
