Klopp's final moment was supposed to be grand...

Each footballing season has always been a rollercoaster ride of emotion and it's even more intense for folks like myself who have been dealing with the overwhelming near-success syndrome that characterizes Liverpool's performance for as long as I can remember. I always show up to watch the lads do their thing, both in good days and in bad days.

I remember watching us struggle to European Champions League and I remember that massive comeback we pulled against Barcelona under the Anfield light on a UCL night. It was in the 2018/2019 season of the Champions League. I remember how awesome it felt to get that win and I also remember the good feeling of winning a couple of trophies with Klopp as our manager. We even had a couple of runs at winning quadruples or trebles. You probably know how those moments ended.

Those quadruple dreams didn't end too well for Liverpool. We ended up losing the two big ones to Manchester City (in the English Premier League) and Real Madrid (in the Champions League). The last footballing month of that season was a disappointing one for Liverpool fans all over the world. Our quadruple dream was dragged through the mud and we were left with just the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. We didn't even win those convincingly. I remember we played a full 120 minutes in both finals without scoring even a goal.

The most distasteful feeling I had while supporting Liverpool under Klopp's era used to be the moment I watched Loris Karius pull several blunders in between Liverpool's goalposts. His goalkeeping moments for Liverpool left a lot of sour taste which I didn't know could be surpassed. However, Liverpool's performance in recent times has been a big disappointment.

It's even more disappointing when you put Klopp's departure into perspective. The German Coach has done his best as a Liverpool Coach for almost nine years and he did a good job of "changing us from doubters to believers". That's exactly what he promised to do and he has delivered that promise in a memorable style. The problem though is that this last 3/4 months of his stay in Liverpool has been dragging mud through his reputation.

Liverpool were surprisingly in a quadruple race in January. However, everything started to fall apart afterwards even when we had a fully fit senior team who are supposed to be so good at grinding out results and squeezing out wins when it matters most. Instead, we started to carelessly drop points and even got knocked out of the FA Cup. As if that wasn't enough, we got disgraced in both legs of the Europe League by Atalanta.

At that point, the vibe from Liverpool fans was no longer looking inspiring. I could also see all the uninspiring signals. Yet, a part of me wished we could at least still tag along on the EPL title race for what's left of the season. But, this set of Liverpool players have their own way of pulling bottle jobs even when the odds are in their favor.

We dropped too many points and subsequently canceled ourselves out of the title race. As if that wasn't enough, we got to witness that touchline drama between Klopp and Salah. That was the breaking point for me. That moment was so disgusting to watch and I genuinely felt bitter about how Liverpool wrapped up this season.

Liverpool will be playing their last game with Klopp as our manager tomorrow and I'm very sure I won't be watching that game. This final moment of Klopp was supposed to be grand, but it doesn't feel that way to me. I just can't feel happy or sad about his departure. Not after the disasterclass we pulled in this final quarter of the season.

We will see what the next chapter of Liverpool will look like. I'm also looking forward to the players that would move on and those that would be getting on board. I will do that without high expectations.

Klopp will definitely be a living legend for years to actually come even in Liverpool

True. Despite the uninspiring performance in this ending section of the season, Klopp's era in Liverpool will always be remembered.

He did a good job.

Yeah. He will be remembered in Liverpool's history books
